White Sand is now Goa Cottages
on Nov 1, 2019
We stayed at Goa Cottages what was previously White Sand and our stay was amazing! The Cottage was gorgeous and well equiped with AC, TV and a desk, where I could do a little work (Wifi was also working well). The bathroom is huge with a big mirror, good light and a semi open roof - what a beautiful shower experience under the goan stars!
All of the cottages have a sea view and are just a few steps away from the beach. The restaurant in the resort is very good and all of the staff was super friendly. At night you can stay sitting on your veranda and they will serve you dinner and drinks there. So even if there is no need to go out, everything is quite close but the Goa Cottages are also on the quieter northern part of Agonda.
I highly recommend to stay at this beautiful place!
Heaven on earth

My husband and I stayed here for 4 nights at the end of our three week travels throughout India for our honeymoon. The pictures do not do this place justice. I keep dreaming about this place - no lie. We stayed at the beachfront cottage to the left (if looking at the beach). This hut is so dreamy!!!! All I wanted was to end our honeymoon in a hut on the beach and this place surpassed by expectations. The outdoor bathroom was so amazing, the bed was comfy, safe provided, closet to unpack a bit, a little desk, and a fan. The staff were so amazing, helpful and friendly. The restaurant was very very good, we loved having our breakfast brought to us on our porch. The grounds were very very clean. I’m not a bug person and I saw one bug the entire time.
The beach was so clean and so quiet. Didn’t see one person trying to sell things.
We were there for Holi and our resort through a party which was so incredibly fun.
I’m truly sad that this place may not be re opening because it is the 1 place in India I would travel back to in a heartbeat. Truly amazing!
Not for humans

The waiter joined 2 tables. Alas! Different height.
No breeze at all as it was surrounded by trees all around. Mosquitos. Asked to shift but all tables were occupied.
One of the couple just left and I asked for the waiter to shift us. He said fine.returned after 15 mins and said it is reserved.it was already 2130, 60 mins for the restaurant to close.
We left at 2230 and still the table was reserved. Ha
Lies and fake people.
Later on one of the guy said it is never reserved. They only want the people who stay with them on those tables.
Not customer friendly place at all
Right Balance of Rustic and Ritzy
on May 4, 2019
Just the right balance of rustic and ritzy. Very comfortable cottages with huge beds and lovely outdoor bathrooms, complete with large frog who would appear most nights to eat my insects. The room could be a bit warm during the day -- though just how do you air condition a thatched cottage? -- but still cool enough at night to need that duvet. The kitchen cooked all sorts of tasty food and the beer at the bar was always ice cold, with some excellent cocktails, including margaritas that would get the thumbs up in Mexico. But the best thing about White Sand are the staff, from reception to the waiters to the cleaners. They could not have been nicer or made a solo traveller feel more welcome.
Perfect setting, delicious food, brilliant staff

We spent 10 days at Agonda White Sand in April and it was bliss. The cottages are beautiful, the staff (special mention for Mitiza) are amazing and have loads of helpful suggestions for local activities, the food is outstanding (we're seriously missing the cashew rice and brinjal curry).
