WONDERFUL RESTORED MANSION HOME RIGHT IN THE HEART OF OLD DELHI
on Dec 21, 2017
The Haveli Dharampura is a beautifully restored mansion home right in the heart of Old Delhi, with a rooftop view of the Jama Masjid, of kite flying, of pigeon flying. It took the Goel Family 6-7 years to restore this property, and they did a beautiful job. The staff is warm and welcoming and helpful; the food is delicious. I was there 5 nights and I loved being there. I highly recommend this hotel.

Entering narrow Old Delhi streets aproaching hotel is not promising. But after you enter everything changes. Renovation was really exceptional. Our room was spacious, luxury old style - what you get used especially in Rajahstan. A masterpiece. And above that: dinner was formidable. In fact much better than in some more exposed places in Dehli. Not a chain-indian-food, but tasty, spicy with dignity and full-bodied. Thanks.
Interesting end to adventure

Unfortunately, my last day in India was taken over with Delhi Belly. My day was spent in the hotel. I needed assistance and the staff did their best to help me by bringing me requested items from the restaurant, I️.e. yogurt ,bananas, and water.
The place itself is very interesting- I️ feel that it could be a little cleaner for the price. I️ immediately noticed that the bathroom floor could have used a better cleaning. But it’s India -so I️ tried to relax. The acoustics are also an issue. But- I️,of course , was stuck there and not feeling well- from my bed, I️ was unable to escape the lobby music which could be heard in my room and the handling and noise of pigeons outside was notable, along with the usual sounds of kitchen staff, I’m guessing- clearing their throats and audibly hawking several times a day. it was a tough situation but they were helpful. I️ did pay appx. $85.00additional for an extra check out from 12-7. I️ thought that was fair. All in all- nice place just a little loud and bathrooms could be a bit cleaner.
A dive in Indian culture and traditions in the heart of Old Delhi

It was a very special experience for us to stay in Haveli Dharampura. It is in the heart of Old Delhi, with its narrow streets and little shops. The hotel is an old family house (haveli) build in the style of old Delhi with all modern comforts. The performances of classical Indian music and dances during dinner give you a sense of living a fairy tale. The staff is very kind and accommodating, very professional and personal. Compared to other luxurious hotels in Delhi this one is pricy but it is truly worth because of the unique experience.
beautiful building, over priced

We stayed here separate 2 night last week, we had to cancel our last night, as the hotel is far from the hotel, and we had an early night. The hotel still charged us for that night.
The food was good, staff were ok, but service not as good as other hotels (cheaper) I've stayed in India.
There was no free water in the room- everything was charged, given the price of the room this seemed excessive!
the building has been beautifully restored, and the view of children flying kites in the evening on the rooftops was wonderful.
