    Let's get the good parts out of the way: The place is well maintained. That's it. While the place is a little away from the market area, it isn't quiet. Mysore Road is right alongside and there is constant traffic to disturb the peace. Don't go there if you are looking for respite from urban noise and chaos. For the facilities, it isn't cheap. Infact, I wasn't quite sure why exactly it was that expensive, which perhaps was why there were only a few guests on a long weekend in vacation season. Low on value for money. Breakfast was quite basic, and they will provide some extras upon request. But they can do much better. Food was average at best. Not value for money. Skip the included dinner/lunch options and explore the town for food instead. The staff is polite, but slow and clearly forgetful. We had asked for a cake to celebrate a special occasion, an anniversary. They promised to deliver a few minutes before midnight. And completely forgot about the whole thing! Infact, we chose to keep quiet to see if they remember and apologise. They didn't. It was as if it never happened! Do not depend on them for any special occasions unless you want the celebration to be ruined. Another thing that struck me as odd was that in the utter cold of the season, they demanded an additional Rs. 500 a day to provide a heater. Which was surprising in itself. Never before had we been charged extra for something so essential. It was like charging extra for AC in an expensive hotel in a desert. All in all, quite miss-able. Which is sad for a place that looks so tidy. But you can do better. I'd have rated it 3 stars, but took one star away for the appalling mistake of forgetting the cake. That is a big lapse.... More

    Disappointing in parts

    We stayed for three nights in December. There were good points. We ate there three nights and it was well cooked and customer service was good. The Derby room was large and a good view from the first floor balcony, which ran the length of the first floor, over Ooty. The bed was comfortable and plenty of storage space for clothing. The disappointing parts were: a 500 rupee charge per day for the blow heater (why when it will be cold?), lack of trained staff overall, breakfast day two not out by 8 when service started at 7.30, day three was a la carte so ordered pancakes which turned up hard as frisbee no towels,water or toilet tissue left when room cleaned on any day It’s a good location and nicely laid out property so such a shame the staff have no one supervising and training them. So they are possibly keen but have no idea what to do next. Except dinner when there was much more cohesion. They were nearly empty most days and this made a rather sad ambience to the property as well. It could stand out if they addressed staff training issues.... More

    Excellent food and service

    I went there for 5 days from Dec 12 to Dec 16 2017. The food here is one of the best in the country :) The two supervisors Bharathi and Joe were very professional as well as polite. Hot water is available 24x7. Slightly expensive hotel, but overall it's worth every single penny. Overall service is excellent and the food is best with a wide variety to choose from. Recommended and I will visit again.... More

    I stayed here for two days in the Derby room. The location was great and the hotel holds a vintage appeal. The extravagant breakfast buffet was worth the money, with the freshly squeezed juice the highlight. The rooms were cozy and amazing, but if I have to pick a flaw, I would say that the bathroom should be a tad cleaner for a hotel of this quality. However, it could just as well have been a one-off incident. All things considered, I can gladly recommend this hotel to all visitors.... More

    Totally surprised by everything here in a v positive manner...the customer centric attitude of everyone here just blew us away...great going Vinca, look forward to visiting again! Kudos to the mgt team for the excellent training, motivating your staff and even the overall cleanliness of the resort...by Ooty standards v commendable!... More

  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance

Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes.   8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience.   9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
