Excellent Resort to stay in Candolim, Goa! My first visit to India, Aashyana Lakhanpal villa & casinhas is a hidden gem. First class accommodations, beautiful gardens butterflies flying all over, birds singing, right in front of the beach. The unprecedented Lakhanpal's staff makes sure all your needs are met.
Must visit serene and unique boutique hotel in Goa

My family, parents and two kids 11 and 8 went to Aashyana Lakhanpal in August. We stayed in a 2 bedroom cashina for 4 days. Being in this beautiful, serene and intentional space was nothing short of a dream. I loved walking around the lush greenery in Aashyana, in a garden created with such grace and beauty by artists, it feels magical as you walk through the trees, listening to the birds singing. The art/sculpture all around the property is a joy- so understated and uplifting...I enjoyed watching the palms sway overhead while I bathed in the open air shower, such a unique and natural experience. We thoroughly enjoyed the beautiful pool, surrounded by trees, just a few steps away from a gorgeous beach front. This place is so unique, it feels like home, yet inspires in a new way everyday. Absolutely loved the spacious, well designed rooms, with harmonious colors and decor. The food was delicious and served with a warm smile. We wish we could have stayed longer, everytime we left the property for adventures around Goa the the kids would be clamoring to 'go back home' :) It was like a comfortable, inspiring, uncluttered home to relax and connect in. We will definitely be visiting again. I highly recommend this very unique resort, with beautiful design, art, food, location and an awe-aspiring garden. If you want to feel at one with nature, take a walk in the forest garden, listen to the birds, breathe the fresh air, take a dip in the pool, meditate by the ocean, you will feel refreshed and renewed just like we did.

This is a gorgeous property in Candolim. It consists of several cottages converted to happy rooms for guests. We were 2 couples & chose to stay in "Leo", a 2-bedroom villa. The villa had a comfortable sitting area with TV, a powerful AC, a cosy dining area & a functional kitchen [we did not use it for more than coffee] & well, 2 bedrooms with en-suite bathrooms. The bedrooms were well appointed. In the monsoons, the villa is great, as we were able to enjoy the rains - without getting drenched ourselves.
For those who dislike outdoor/open air showers, be adequately warned, Leo comes with ensuite open air showers! There is no other option. We did not mind it because it was great!
Breakfast was served to our room every morning with fruits, bread + butter + jam [toaster in the room], one main dish & eggs to order. We had tasty idli-sambhar, paratha, upma during our stay! We even ordered a dinner & a lunch - and it was so good, we polished it all off.
The staff & their service is impeccable. From the time of booking to the time of check-out, there was not one thing we could fault. If I had to nitpick, I would only say utensils could be cleaner - we caught ourselves rinsing them before use more than once.
The beach is a short walk away & we chose it over the pool, even though the pool was very inviting. The beach has a lot of dogs - harmless but playful. The beach was reasonably clean & fairly crowded.
Would recommend this place - and will go back again.

Five of us on a reunion which we do every year booked at Aashiyana Lakhanpal for 02 nights. We reached very around 1930hrs on Friday and Mathilda was there to receive us and take us to the rooms. It might seem a bit daunting at first as the approach road to the property is very narrow and only the smallest of cars can pass through this road.
If you are in a bigger car you will have to walk about 500 meters to the reception area. There is a parking for people who bring their cars. Mathilda took us to our rooms which were the cabanas right next to the beach. The cottages are right on the beach and sitting on the bed you can hear the waves breaking on the shore. The cottage is spacious and modestly done. The bathroom is big and spacious too. One has to take care of mosquitoes as the dense vegetation does attract mosquitoes. The breakfast is served on the patio of the cottage and one can order eggs as per their taste.Fresh juice, cut fruit, toast butter and eggs to order are there daily. Day 1 we were given aloo parathas and on day 2 we requested for the Goan Bhaji which they provided with Goan bread. Sunil one of the room boys was fantastic as we had a puncture he ensured that the tire was fixed and the spare was repaired. We will be back for sure as we loved the place the hopitality and the staff. thank you Pradeep Sethi, Mathilda and Sunil for making us feel at home in this wonderful setting.
