I got rip-off by Tiptone Hotel for trusting booking.com.

Fellow traveler, when you travel to Kampala, Uganda stay away from Tiptone Hotel when using booking.com. I lost $540, read the email sent to booking.com when they informed me about the charge. Lesson learned first and last.
To whom this may concern,
The actual description of the room/suite is completely (360 degree) different from what's being described when I booked the room on your site. Upon my arrival at the so called 4 star Tiptone Hotel on Tuesday morning 23rd I found the room to be substandard of a cheap communal guest house, which I would not pay even $10 per night. You need to do better due diligence on the hotel accommodations that currently advertised on your site or your credibility is and will be severely damaged by the misleading ad from these establishment in Kampala, Uganda. This's my first experienced, already I'm questioning whether to trust what's being offered on your site.
The hotel asked me to pay them $50 in cash, which I did and got a receipt for it, when I'd cancelled the reservation and scrambled to find a place to stay in the last minute. You need to reserve the charge and work it out with the Tiptone Hotel. I do not want to circulate this bitter experienced among my business traveler on social media network. Standarden på rummen varierar.
Vi var tolv i vårt sällskap och vissa fick jätte fina rum och andra riktigt dåliga rum.
Dubbelrummen hade högst standard och balkong. Enkelrummen var lite enklare och med sämre standard och utan balkong.
TV på rummet är tillval. Fritt wifi i hela hotellet som även fungerar på rummen. Internetuppkopplingen är däremot väldigt seg. Maten i restaurangen är väldigt enkel. Hotellet verkar även ha en väldigt begränsad växelkassa då de vid flera tillfällen skickat personal till banken.... More

The standard check-in time is 12 PM and the standard check-out time is 11 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
