    The Wind Munnar is one of the best spot in Chinnakannal area @ Munnar . The view is just mind blowing even at night we could see the Sky and Stars. Just like being inside the clouds And again the sunset is absolutely fantastic. The whole place turns orange early morning . It’s a must visit place .The property is a fine place for those who are looking for a view from your room. Thank You.... More

    I don't have anything else to comment. We had booked two rooms at The Wind thru booking.com for one night stay on 11 Jan 2020. On 10 Jan i got a message from the hotel management stating that if I am not interested I can cancel the booking.Its sounded to me like that the team doesn't want me to book the property. I thought its because the property is on high occupancy, so I reconfirmed the booking and paid the advance as requested by them. But when I reached the property I clearly understood why they told that, the road to the property itself is horrible. Renovations are going on and many of the so called cottages are not ready yet. The property is scattered with debris. There were no proper staff for the check in . I really don't know how can a resort take the bookings when there are serious renovations happening and that too during the peak season time. As i had paid the advance i thought i will check in. But the rooms were stinking with the smell of paint.The beds were very bad. When we asked them, if we had WiFi in our rooms, they told us "The WiFi modem doesn't have charge." and isn't this enough to show how excellent their service is. I actually wanted surprise to my family but finally i became a faceless person in-front of my family. Hence I paid THE WIND in FULL - an amount of Rs.9350 /- for nothing and checked out . I expected an apology for the inconvenience but unfortunately i had to hear the stories of their great services which i am not interested at all. I am really surprised to the see the rating what this property has got. How can someone tell good about it. In last 20 years of my career in the tourism industry I've been travelling around the world and i never had a pathetic experience like this. They should have shown the 50% of the enthusiasm of payment collection on the customer care also. We shouldn't judge a book by its cover and a Hotel by its Images Online.     I have stayed with my family for two days. This was my 2nd visit to the resort. We really enjoyed the stay; the staff are very friendly and helpful. Property is well maintained and the rooms were clean with amazing valley views from balcony. I would definitely refer this resort to people visiting Munnar to enjoy their holidays.... More

    Everything about this place is bad. For the steep price they charge, the effort you need to put to get there and the risk of using very bad or non-existent road, it just smells of BAD WIND. No welcome drink on arrival, no pro-active communication about bad roads or offer to help to get there, no house keeping the next day unless explicitly ask for it and surrender your keys (made me feel like 1970s and explanation that some people don't like their rooms to be entered in their absence (crappy reason), very limited food (for dinner or breakfast which starts way late @ almost 8 AM), FALSE PROMISE ABOUT BREAKFAST (we have idli, dosa,etc.), unkempt lawns for an extremely small property, no guest control (someone was playing very loud music like there was no one else), no proper amenities like swimming pool or lawn for playing shuttle badminton etc. The staff are clueless about hospitality and you feel bad shouting at them and ruining their mood and your vacation. BEST TO AVOID IT. STAY NEAR MUNNAR JUNCTION AND ENJOY MUNNAR. AVOID BAD ROADS AND ESPECIALLY FOUL WIND MUNNAR.... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 02 PM and the standard check-out time is 12 PM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.

  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
