Great rooms, awesome service
on Dec 26, 2017
This is a boutique hotel with about 20 rooms adjoining the Taj Rambagh. Facilities are at par with 5 star hotels.
I enjoyed the service right from checkin. The rooms are spacious and comfortable. The staff were very friendly and courteous. They went out of their way to make our stay comfortable.
Oasis within Jaipur

This hotel is the perfect place to stay in Jaipur. It is set back from the street on a large piece of property. It is quiet, the rooms are beautiful and large, the staff is extremely friendly and accommodating. The food at the restaurant is so delicious and there is a really large variety of options. I would absolutely stay here next time I'm in Jaipur.

We stayed there for 2 nights on a weekend. The property is so beautiful with manicured lawns, peacocks roaming around, flowers bloomed everywhere in the garden, everything was so relaxing and perfect.Taj Rambagh Palace is just beside this hotel which can be seen from the lawns adds up to its beauty. The staffs are very efficient and courteous, food is very good though the buffet spread is small(chef will come personally and ask you if the food is good) and their service is just outstanding be it the room service or anything they are always ready to help. They did full justice to our holiday. Three cheers to Taj SMS and keep up the good work guys.We will come back again.
Great stay, Dissapointed with F&B
on Dec 13, 2017
We were in Jaipur in August this year to celebrate my birthday. I chose SMS because of all the reviews I read. Also, because I truly believed that there is nothing like a Taj property to celebrate.
I has a great stay. Everything was as I would expect. And that's what one goes to Taj for. But I was quite dissapointed by the F&B.
Two things here: one the breakfast buffet, which I had to pay additionally for despite being a Inner Circle member -- and i am okay with that -- was less than average. The spread was small, quality not up to the mark and over all experience not good. Also, the coffee shop is too cramped. Anyway all I ate was some upma that the chef graciously made fresh for me. My family did not enjoy the food either. As a result, we ate out all the rest of the time.
Also, because it was my birthday, my husband had requested a cake to be arranged for. It was originally supposed to come in the night but then we asked them to send it in the morning (we were tired at night). The cake, despite asking for, never arrived.
Now at this age, it is not really about the cake, but one would expect much more responsible staff in a place like Taj. We have been regular guests at Taj and the service is the only reason we come to you.
I am sorry this review is coming much too late, but I have been busy with work and could not write sooner.
