it is very modest ... old ... the breakfast contains just indian food ...
no service ... not what we expect - it rated as 4 stars or more ... so ....
but we had a little balcony ... it was nice
but lower your expectations ...

During the visit of Munnar we had a lunch here in Silver tips and the food was really very delicious and served with good hospitality. We also visited the hotel and the got to know that each room is based on movie themes which an attraction in itself.
This hotel is recommended.

Short review stopped there for lunch. Excellent lunch. One of the best.
However one small issue we have ordered
Too many plates of rice ( did not know it can feed 2-3 people- subjective as we are
Malaysians). Anyways when we informed them it was too much and ask to take it away they mentioned it was chargeable.
Minor issue but curiously one would think rice is pre-cooked so that can be taken back. So to International travellers please be mindful and enquire how big the place of rice can be.

Stayed at Silver Tips for a night with family during the visit to Munnar. The property is ideally located just at the entrance to Munnar town nevertheless with a view of the lush greenery pampered with the misty winds.
Check in was very fast and as we entered the reception, we were welcomed warmly and accompanied to room by the guest relations executive, Sofia. She was very helpful and explained the history of the property. As we walked through to our rooms, we did see that each room is themed out of a classic movie. The bigger picture is the property stands tall where it was an old theater and the hotel is carrying the history of the land. My room was themed out of a Telugu film and there were quick facts about the movie that we can read at different corners of the room. Rooms were descently maintained and the room service was quick.
Never have I ever walked through all floors of any hotel that I have stayed. Here, I have walked through the entire floors. Each aisle carry a story of the Indian movie history. Each room has a different story to tell. The lounge, restaurant are all themed likewise. And each corner speak about the story of the big screen stars who have stayed at the hotel. What more is required to feel like a star when you stay at the place where they stayed.
Food was really good with a wide spread. The restaurant was well built with great ambience. While checking out after visiting the room were King Khan stayed during the Chennai Express shoot days, star in me faded off back to the busy Monday madness wanting to come back to this place sooner.
