Perfect spot, cozy atmosphere

Lovely place, warm and welcoming, perfect location. The owner was very friendly and helpful, the room clean and spacious, wifi was working perfectly and very good breakfast (not too many things, but all good and freshly made and/or baked!).
I'll definitely go back there when I return to Ferrara.
Nice place, if you manage to get in!

When we arrived at the hotel, around 13.30, it was closed, and stayed
closed until 16.00. These hours are printed on the front of their door.
They are closed from 12.30 till 16.00 every day. There is a contact
telephone number which I tried several times, but I always got a recorded
message saying the number didn't exist. I speak Italian, by the way.
I phoned both TripAdvisorand Laterooms.com, who made the actual booking, and got no help from either of them. I complained to Laterooms after I came home; they weren't the slightest bit interested, and tried to put the whole thing back onto me to sort out with the hotel myself.
Once we finally did get in, the hotel was nice, no problem at all with the actual accommodation. But if you don't know when you're going to arrive, or are held up, be prepared for a wait; I certainly won't be staying there again. Nor, for that matter, will I be using Laterooms.com
Great service on the great location

Last year I stayed this place with my colleagues and we really enjoyed it. We had cozy rooms, nice decorated, really great breakfast, and above everything amazing hosts taking care about every detail. In the morning, under the window of a room we enjoyed sweet music of street trumpeter on the cobble stone square of the historical center of Ferrara.

this was a very pleasant surprise in the heart of lovely Ferrara. it carries the name well as it is incredibly quiet and peaceful. very friendly and professional staff. comfortable and clean rooms. wifi works perfectly. all this at a very affordable price. breakfast doesn't rock the boat but is good by Italian standards.

A family of 4 was given a very good night sleep at the Zen, Ferrara. Location in the centerof the town was excellent!
We were the only one at the hotel. The owner has 6 rooms but cannot speak a lot of english. But everything went ok. Room had 3 beds and a baby bed. AC was just right. Shower worked. Breakfast had 3 juices, yoghurt, fruits, fruitsalad, ham sandwiches (nothing else in between), cereals, butter, 3 different bakery products and coffee+tea.
The only thing bothered us was that the elevator did not work during siesta and in the evening and we had to carry our strollers and heavy luggages upstairs.
