    Struggled with large groups

This hotel was our first and last leg of a long India journey with 30 plus of us. I feel that the hotel struggled with such a large influx of individuals however on a whole were able to deliver a good service. The breakfast was that of plentiful and roof top was gorgeous. However the shower cubicles were not quite to my standard but for the price how can you complain. As a white female westerner I felt very safe in the hotel and the male members of staff were nothing but professional.... More

So, I booked a room for 2 people for 7 nights in this hotel. I'm a constant traveler so I know what to expect in these hotels they have these amenities and that... And like this hotel, they are not what they say they are in their profile at online (Proof, all the bad reviews of guests who stayed here in the past). On my second to the last night I asked my friend from Delhi to spend the night over so we could go directly to the apartment we we're looking into the following morning so he won't get late for work and I won't waste time getting lost. We arrived at the hotel at past 1am.. we woke up at 8am to have breakfast and we head on to our destination. This is where the crazy happened. The receptionist, ask me if my friend slept here for the night, I said yes (he is the same receptionist who welcomed us when we arrived by the way and the same one who gave us medication for colds because my friend was not feeling well that night). The receptionist started telling me that they have a rule that says Delhi locals are not allowed to sleep in their hotel. I was stunned. First, they expect their guests to memorize all their rules? Second, he was there when we arrived and I asked for medication, why didn't he say something? Third, it's outright discrimenation of their kind. To another level! Fourth, he doesn't have to lecture me in front of my guest at the reception while we are in a hurry to get a cab so we won't get stuck in traffic (Which is the only reason why I had my friend stayed over). Fifth, he kept talking to my friend in Hindi, asking for my friend's ID. Isn't that something you should be asking for when someone arrives and not when someone leaves? Sixth, the other guy at the reception insinuates that they are not humiliating me (So how am I suppose to feel of their ambush attack at the reception? Do they have control over how I should feel?) Seventh, there's a better and more professional way of handling these matters. I am after all a guest and a paying customer and a tourist that promotes tourism for India and provides business to their hotel and many other merchants in this industry. Respect should have been practiced. This experience, got me into thinking, if India and their tourism sector, allows this kind of descrimanation of their own kind is't really safe for tourists to come to India and experience their culture? If some of them can be this brutal in dealing with these things, how well will others do? It's really scary. I will never set foot in India after this trip and I ask everyone who reads this review not to recommend this hotel. Worst hotel ever! Read all the negative feedback about them before me and you'll see mine is only cherry on top.... More

Hi , I was on a trip solo to delhi . The pics in site even in TripAdvisor or booking .Com will fascinate you . The lighting of hotel . The pool at terrace . But check my pic the real story is the lighting is falling from here n there . No pool at terrace but a open devastated broken small tub at top which u presume that can blast as it resemble to a big alien bomb. One suggestions please avoid this hotel even if they offer 1.2 to 1.8 per night . Good things : food is good , room service is excellent , room spacious .... More
