    Good property but lacks in service

    We (with our 2 small kids) stayed here for 2 nights. Check in was smooth and we were allotted a room on 6th floor (having city view) in the OCC wing - a brief walk within the hotel from the main reception (mainly having basic rooms and given mainly to large groups). The other wing I was told mainly has higher category rooms. Room is of decent size and had a two beds joined to form into king-sized. It also had a sofa com bed. Room was not absolutely clean - saw a lot of dust on carpet in the corners. It has a LED TV with STB. Room had all the basic things like tea maker with necessary supplies. Bottled water was available as per requirement without extra charge. Toiletries provided was of good quality. Bed was soft and comfortable. Ac gave good cooling. Shower had good hot water. Buffet breakfast had good spread for both veg and non veg with a few live items. Even jains would not face much issue. The staff is very helpful. The hotel location is on the Mumbai Pune highway and very close to Baner and Balewadi - accessible by share auto. Share auto is also available for Katraj. Pune city is about 12 KMS away from the hotel. Swimming pool is very large and clean. Even the kids pool is quite large and connected with the main pool. Only thing that was disappointing was the room service. It took several calls to get the issues resolved in the room. Overall, a lovely place to stay. I will surely stay here again.... More

    Bad Experience - Worst Service In Pune

    I have stayed in all top 5 star hotels in India and this is an honest review of my experiences. I have put this on email to the management and hotel - but they intend to not respond to i thought of sharing it with all here. I stayed in Orchid, Pune Balewadi Hotel I had very bad experience with The Orchid Hotel, Balewadi. I am posting my experience with you everywhere on relevant consumer-led content portals, thought will inform you in advance. Here is the poor rating experience. I have stayed in best of the hotels like Taj Lands End in Mumbai and JW Marriot Marquis in Dubai. I could never imagine something like this can be experienced in Orchid Pune. I had to go to the below: a) On check-in, I was not given the room smart card and asked to walk towards the room with no one accompanying us to show the way towards the room. It was all empty in the corridor and no one was there to guide the way through to the room. When I reached upstairs, I had to manage myself to open to the door by requesting the working floor cleaners on the floor. b) Ordered for PANcake (it was horrible) for breakfast c) Ordered for North Indian Room Dining lunch. - the lunch taste was so bad that we had to throw away the entire lunch. (Paneer Tikka Masala did not have Capsi, Onion - my maid makes better than this) d) In the evening I called the room service for extra shampoo - it took 35 minutes for the room service to arrange it for me - it was a horrible experience - there was no one on the floor whom I could have asked to help on this as well. e) I was out in the evening - I called the hotel and asked to clean my room till I am back at night. When I reached hotel - NO ONE CLEANED MY ROOM - it was messed up and due to the not eaten lunch kept in the room from after room, it was all smelling of food when I came back to the hotel in the night. I always heard that Orchid was a very good in guest service - however, this experience made me feel pathetic about the hotel.... More

    Excellent property, situated at Mumbai Bangalore highway. Very next to Balewadi stadium and few km away from Mumbai Pune express highway. I have stayed here many a times for Business trips.Not a 5 star quality !! The room quality is not at all of great. But overall an average hotel.... More

    Awesome ambiance good food and best service .. 2014 we had bad experience here but now the service has improved a lot. This time we met Mr Bhushan in orchid he personally take care well. Thanks to entire banquet team and Prahlad for best service. We will soon arrange one seminar here. Now why to go anywhere when my orchid is ready to take care of us. It's near to our company also.     Expected hospitality at par with The Orchid Mumbai , but the hotel failed. Its a huge property in a state of neglect. Rooms need renovation. The beds were damp. We didnt try food as we wanted to try in the city. Not recommended ... More

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.

  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
