    Think before booking

    The food was bad-Hygienic(So far) but awful taste. It was all bland and indiann breads as hard as a stone. The milk based drinks consisted 95% water and 5% milk and tasted really bad but a lot of money looted for the same.. There was no room heater and hot water service in the room was very low.. the bathroom was not so neat and the flushes, showers and tubs had issues... The TV doesn't support USB and the quality was bad.. The hotel even had a big lawn for a lot of outdoor stuff and a very good location. It seemed like a big fort which was modified into a hotel.     A good hotel that needs renovation

    With its beautiful location,amidst tea gardens, king size area, garden, rooms, facilities and interiors, it was certainly the Monarch. But being a Mithun Chakraborty group of hotels, we had expected more clean and it did not delighted us much. Some chairs were stained and upon pointing, housekeeping staff appeared helpless. Whereas a hotel as huge as Monarch should regularly do upholstery dry cleaning. The toilet was also not sanitised for the next guest. Although breakfast was good and buffet had variety but the staff did not inform about the dinner buffet which was cheaper than a-la-carte. Also we had to face a major harassment on the last day. Since we had paid through a travel agent, the hotel administration was not bothered when we checked in but on the fourth day when we were checking out, they held us for more than an hour because they had not received the payment. Being sunday, no one was picking the phone on the other side and we had to really shout as we were getting late for our next destination- coorg. Though staff is otherwise very good and helping....     Not so Royal!

    Location of the hotel is good but all rooms do not provide you with good view. It seems the place is at its downfall....no fans and no AC, and if open the windows, houseflies attack....TV only shows regional channels...Looks like the hotel management has not worked on the renovation for years....which it deadly needs...currently perfect location to shoot a Ramsay brothers movie.....Hotel management should replace the white lights with warn white lights to just give it a bit of sophistication. But the hotel staff is very good and courteous.... More

    A decent place to stay with great service

    I had been here in April with my friends. The hotel is a bit old. The rooms are good but did not have good TV. The swimming pool was filled with water whose colour had turned to brown. The service was good. Friendly staff. Great food. Overall a decent place to stay. But better not your expectations high.... More

  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes.   7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
