    Lots of Strong Points but a Few Considerations

    My wife, 3 and 6 year olds, & myself recently stayed in one of their 1 bedrooms that had one bed and a queen-sized sofa sleeper. We had a very positive experience. The location was great. The room was very clean. The layout worked well for us and the kitchen was very useful. The resort's pools (regular and kiddie) were well-maintained and the kids loved them. The place also had a playset/playground and a picnic table which was nice for the kids. Also, either everything in the unit was pretty and/or the cleaning crew did an outstanding job. The place was amazingly clean when we arrived. Corners, bathrooms, kitchen, under-the-bed, etc. All of it. We did use the sofa bed as a bed for the kids for the entire stay. We also appreciated the decor, or lack thereof. Believe it or not, we weren't in Orlando for Disney so appreciated the absence of Disney stuff. As others have noted, the place does feel a bit more private and secluded than you think it would given its location. The main downside I would consider would be the noise from neighbors. We traveled during low peak times and only had an upstairs neighbor for the final day of our trip. Like many other places, you can hear people walking upstairs. More than this, though, you can also hear their televisions and talking. The final day visitors weren't particularly egregious in their use of their unit, but they definitely weren't us. Young family, early to bed and early to rise. If I were going again, I'd definitely request an upstairs room to avoid the footsteps issue. Not sure you can much avoid the other. For our part, we brought a white noise machine (a MARPAC) which helped a great deal.... More

    Barefoot’n Resort is a very nice place. Great location, Great staff, Great rates. We traveled from WV and would definitely stay here again. Highly recommend to anyone visiting Disney or the Kissimmee/Orlando area.... More

    We will never book there again

    I would give this resort 2 stars. 1st the bed was uncomfortable, living Room couch cushions sunk and they fixed it by shoving blankets underneath of it and then the pillows wouldn't stay on the couch so is virtually unusable. The noise level from the upper floor was ridiculous Li loud . You could hear the walking day and the night. The washing machine was so loud you couldn't do anything in the condo while it was on, You had to put in a load of wash and then go out for an hour just to be able to hear yourself think. The water pressure was extremely low. We were charged a $55 resort fee for each week we were there. We have traveled through armed forces vacation club for 15 years and this is the 1st and only time we were ever charged a resort fee. Absolutely ridiculous as they did nothing for you there. The the floors were absolutely filthy. If you walked through them with just a pair of swite socks on those socks were black at the end of the day. This was the 1st and last time we will ever book their. The only reason we did book there was its proximity to Old Town. The only good we can possibly say is that the maintenance staff and housekeeping staff were courteous and kind and did all that they were able to do. On another note when we checked in we felt like we were an inconvenience to them,And knew from that point that it wasn't gonna be what we thought. When we 1st checked in we were supposed to have a first floor unit if there were no elevators, Our Room wasn't ready so we had to wait 3 hours then when we came back to check in they had put us in a second floor unit so we had to wait another 2 hours until a first floor unit was ready. Again we learned our lesson from this one and will never book there again.... More

    Great Resort

    The room was good and clean. the pools were well maintained There's a pond just beyond the pools and at twilight six deer came out of the woods to drink from the pond. It was and awlsome sight. Also thid resortis on the edge of Old Town. Where we found a great resturant called Sakeba Asian pub & Grill Five minute walk from the resort. I highly recommend the food here.... More

    Reception staff with attitude!

    We have stayed at many diamond resorts so wanted to try this one close to old town. The day before we were checking in we went to have a look and to see if our room may be ready earlier so that we could enjoy the rest of the day. We met with Sara who was pleasant and showed us a room that we would have the next day. She asked what time we would arrive roughly to which we said 10.00am she said that was fine and that she was sure the room would be ready but would check with her manager. We arrived at 10.30am to be greeted by Sara and the supposedly manager Kiera. We were looked at with disgust by Kiera as though she was doing us a favor for being there. Her appearance was very unprofessional for front desk. Her hair looked like it needed washing and she sat there with a miserable face and never smiled. Her whole attitude was diabolical when we asked if the room was ready. She said the cleaners have till 4.00pm and that’s it. We tried to explain what we had discussed with Sara but she wouldn’t even consider being polite. All the time she was smirking not very professional at all. We then asked for her managers contact details to which she called her and basically said that we were complaining about the check in time. We didn’t have a problem with the check in time it was her whole attitude towards us from the time we walked in. The manager, Sheri Hartman, was understanding and was very apologetic over the attitude of Keira. All the time we were in the phone Keira sat there smirking and obviously finding the whole situation funny. We were very tempted to cancel the reservation and go somewhere else at this stage as Keira was making us feel very uncomfortable. It makes you wonder how many people check in and never say anything about Keira’s attitude. She certainly needs a lesson in customer service and definitely needs to smarten her appearance. We have used diamond resorts many times and always find their staff going out of their way to help. Unfortunately for barefoot resort they need some improvements in customer service .... More

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. Booking Policies

  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
