    A very nice budget hotel

    6 of us stayed at Eclipse Legend Hotel during our holiday in Hanoi from Dec 01 to Dec 06, 2017. The hotel was clean, comfortable and a short distance from the Old Quarters of Hanoi. The staff are all very friendly ... I have to give special mention to two ... ie. Miss Jenny Tran (Manager) and Ms Ling (Kitchen). From the moment I made reservation (a few months before our travel date) with the hotel, I was contacted by Miss Jenny Tran, the manager of the hotel with regards to our various needs of our visit. Jenny Tran was very helpful in helping us arrange all our itinerary requirements ... from picking us up from the airport (and sending us to the airport), booking our Halong Bay cruise, arranging a private van for us to travel to Halong Bay and making sure that we were all taken good care of when we board the cruise ... everything was smooth, on time and comfortably arranged. Apart from that she also provided us with necessary information on our stay in Hanoi from shopping to street food to spa and massages ... we are very pleased with Jenny Tran for making sure we have a pleasant stay in Hanoi. And indeed our 6 days in Hanoi/Halong was superb. And Ms Ling ... though we only see her during breakfast but she is always there to help us ... asking us if the food is alright and if everything is ok for us. Our group like our morning coffee really hot ... really, like very very hot ... so we always ask her to re-heat the coffee ... she have to microwave each of our coffee almost every morning. And not forgetting of course the lady boss of the hotel, Ms Rose ... though I had a short conversation with this petite but very firm lady ... I can tell you she is one very nice person to talk to. From what I learned ... she has another hotel, Helios Legend .. also in the Old Quarters of Hanoi and another one is on the way ... way to go Rose !!! I will definite stay here again should I visit Hanoi again :) Thank you for everything !!!... More

    No different from other hotels in this category in Hanoi. However, the staff at the reception was nicer than average. I give it "average" because though they accepted to start breakfast 15 minutes early, upon my request, the food was not ready before those 15 minutes had elapsed, and because they do something I had not seen before: they refill the small shower gel and shampoo containers, and after so many reuses, you can't even read if it's shampoo or if it's gel. And it doesn't look very appetizing.... More

    We stayed here 2 nights, it is in the Old Quarter, really close to the city center, where you have plenty of restaurants, shops, souvenir shops, experiences. The rooms are not so big, but clean and nice. The staff also nice. They can improve the breakfast. Otherwise, I recommend.... More

    Stayed here 4 nights in their family room with window. I would say save for the toiletries provided (super basic in recycled bottles, I suspect), the towels ( clean but very old-I would recommend bringing your own toiletries and towels), the toilet is a little slippery if wet- the family room itself is big and clean and most important, sound proof. Wifi is a little slow. Breakfast is very basic with bread, rice, noodles, veg, eggs and cut fruits. The cook tried her best to replenish the food or warm up the cold coffee and tea as she is the only one in the kitchen cooking, moping the floor, washing and cleaning the tables. Try to be down early for breakfast as otherwise even the coffee and tea turns cold. The utensils and cutlery really should change. Location is good, within walking distance to the shopping area n roadside eateries aplenty. Staff are very friendly and super nice gesture of them to pack for my family warm bread with fried eggs for breakfast as we departed from hotel at 5am to the airport. ... More

    I chose this hotel due to the outstanding reviews. The location was slightly out of the main area of old quarter, but close to our bus the next day. I was not aware when I booked that the room would have NO window. I asked if they had any upgrades but was informed they were full for the night. The staff was very friendly and helpful. My complaints were that the room was extremely small, bed could only be approached from one side. Good for maybe only one person. No window made it feel very claustrophobic. Concern about the only exit from our 5th floor was the elevator. No other fire exits. Cleanliness was ok, some mold and stains on the wall. Ok for one night but would not return. I don’t think it is reasonable to stay this place is outstanding. ... More
