Excellent room, fine service
on Oct 4, 2019
We were on the back side of the hotel, with a window - sufficient space for the two of us. Very comfortable bed; modern, well-appointed bath. The windows are modern, "German" style, double-pane and double-hinged. This didn't matter much in September, but it would matter in the blistering heat of Hanoi's summer or the frigid cold of its winter.
Breakfast was excellent for Western tastes (eggs, meat/sausage) and Asian ones (noodle soup, stir-fried veggies).
This was our third stay with Eclipse hotels in Hanoi, and we'll be back.
2 star-price for 5 star-quality

I didn't expect too much in a place that has very reasonable price. But then 1 night has turned to 3 nights becuz their excellent services! Free upgrade, super nice receptionists and bellmans, good breakfast until 10 am (it wasn't variety but to me there is enough quantity), and the thing that suprised me the most is: they helped me to park my bike in outside area and brought it back to the hotel's front every morning. Feel like I am a cool boss lol
Once again, althought I forgot to ask anyone's name, but the whole team has made our experience's unforgetable!
Serves its purpose

This hotel is what you would expect for the price. Can’t complain- friendly staff, great location, nice complimentary breakfast, very clean. However, rooms are a bit exaggerated in the pictures online. Expect small, older rooms as opposed to those pictured. If you are looking for a cheap, clean place to stay in the center of all the action then I’d definitely recommend the hotel.
Great hotel for the Price

Eclipse Hotel was a great hotel for the price we paid, near Hoan Kiem Lake. The staff at the hotel were very helpful in booking our train trip to Danang. It is located in the old quarter and breakfast in the cafe was good.

My husband and I booked this hotel last minute as we needed a place to stay after taking the night bus back from Sapa at 4am. The reception staff were efficient and helpful with the bags and that’s pretty much the only positive. The room is tiny, toilet leaks on the floor, the walls look like they have been beaten up, the AC has only one setting - freezing, even if you up the thermostat so we turned it off and slept in the heat so as not to get ill, there is no quilt but rather a thin sheet folded in half and tucked into the sides of the bed. The room is also not clean with hair on the pillow and marks on the sheet. Breakfast is dismal. Thank goodness we are only here for one night. You get what you pay for I suppose and don’t rely on the hotel pictures to make your judgement. Expect bare minimum at most, can’t wait to check out.
