    It was an average stay at hotel firhill. We ran late in reaching Shimla and got limited options for stay. Luckily this highway hotel in the outskirts of Shimla had rooms available, so we gave it a try. Rooms were not cleaned properly, as we could spot so many stains on the pillow covers and bed sheets. Used towels were found hanging in the bathroom when we checked-in. Room service doesn't start until 7:30 AM, so if you have plans to check-out earlier or need a bed-tea, you might get disappointed. Food quality is also average, and needs improvement as well in terms of taste, presentation and cleanliness of utensils. Parking is available, but you might need skills (or get help from hotel staff) to get your vehicle parked. Its better to inform at reception about your plans to move the vehicle in or out. Overall, We didn't find any other issues during our 14 hours stay in this hotel. It can prove a better options if they take note of the reviews seriously and work towards improvement.... More

    An average mid budget hotel at the outskirts of Shimla, Firhill has the advantage of being located bang on the highway and the added bonus of ample parking. The rooms are cramped but cosy.. and running water around the clock which is a plus point in the water starved location like Shimla. It’s far from the city centre and the Mall , bring your walking shoes for the walk will feel like a trek.. The hotel food is average.. not worth trying .. Staff is friendly and helpful ... More

    Overall a bad experience. Room service is almost not available. They don't even bother to clean the rooms after entry. There is a conference room beside the bedrooms. The continuous noise created headache to us. I don't recommend anyone to visit.... More

    A pretty bad hotel, a little on the outskirts of Shimla town. Hotel is par below in Standards; Room heaters were offered on extra payment during peak winter... Quality of food was very poor, no taste but too salty... A very horrible stay indeed... Would suggest to look out for other good hotels in Shimla...... More

    Took a cab from Kalka. The hotel is located on the right side of the Old Bus Stand or Cart Road before entering the town of Shimla. It has a parking space. The Shimla railway station is a further 10 mins walk ahead. The Shimla bus terminus is a 15 minutes drive. Such good connectivity comes at a cost. It takes a walk of 15-20 mins to reach the Mall Road. The hotel is surrounded by cedar and pine trees. We had a corner room with large windows. Monkeys would play outside the windows and on the trees. The morning sun will light up the room. The room and the washroom were clean but otherwise average. The view of the town was beautiful at night, especially when the full moon rose above the hills. The food was tasty, even if a little spicier than I like. Both veg and non-veg are served. Stayed there for 2N3D. The staff was warm and helpful. I'll recommend to friends and family.... More

  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
