Fern residency,a very comfortable hotel for stay.i stayed there for 2 nights and satisfied with the services.Especially assistance of staffs and chandrima was quite helpful in making it more comfortable

It was an amazing place to stay. I stayed there for 3 nights and pleased with the service they provide. Chandrima and all others staffs really assisted a lot to me in making my stay comfortable over there. I am really delightful to them and wish to stay again whenever I visit Kolkata.

It was a pleasant stay especially after hectic days. Food was good and the staff courteous. The location of the property and proximity to the airport makes it further attractive. Add to that a complementary airport drop in the early morning that saved me hassles of cab booking made it a wow factor.
All in all a value for money stay.

This property apart from being close to the airport has nothing to offer guests and with a staff and service which is definitely below par. I strongly suggest that if you have better options in Kolkata the same needs to be explored and this is a definite avoidable property.
Ordeal with the Reservation Team

I am a Bengali, born and brought up in this beautiful city and currently staying away from the city. However, people of the this city really make outsiders feel that they are greater than thou. I wanted to stay with my family at this residency as it was nearest to the location where we had some work.
Reservations team is the team which sets the first perception of the property. The friendliness of the staff and etc etc.
The Lady at the reservation counter must have had a bad day or is not trained well in customer service. A simple example is the email id that I needed to be spelled out over the phone for further communication. The pronunciation was not clear and the phone network was very clear. Thus, I requested her to spell it in Navy List so that it is easier for me to understand and i get the correct email id. Unfortunately, she repeated the same thing 4 times and I had to tell her 4 times to use the navy list or even names of the cities so that I can get the correct spelling of the email id. She did not understand.
After ignoring this fact, when I gave my requirement / request for reservation dates, she asked me again why I had called. I ignored that as well. What made me write this review is, she hung up on me while I was still speaking. All I had asked was why are the online rates much less compared to the rates of the Hotel when contacted directly. The price is exactly double of what is showing online.
Thus, if the hotel doesnot want business from general customers but would want to cater to customers who are ready to spend money without reason, I think Customer Service is very very Poor.
