    The pictures on various travel portal & actual situation is pole apart. AC Controls do not work & Toilet taps are missing. Even for bath we had to fill bucket from shover. Despite various complaints no body resolved the issues & we had to change the room which was equally bad.... More

    Hotel is not maintained at all. Paint is peeling off everywhere be it the rooms, corridors or the lobby. Everything in this hotel seems very old and not updated for a long time. The thermostat of the room AC was not working and the AC itself was not cooling effectively. The bathroom had no ventilation whatsoever and there was always some kind of dark coloured residue in the pot. The room was not cleaned even after asking them to have them cleaned while we were out on couple of occasions. The staff was pleasant and courteous. Hotel needs a serious revamp. Breakfast was ok....     Hotel has a grand facade. The lobby area is very spacious and grand. But the moment you enter the room not so good. The lights in the room were very uninviting. Most of the lights did not work either. The room was booked for two but only 1 towel was provide during checkin. Literally everything you need had to be asked for. Wifi was good. Restaurant ala cart option was nice. Buffet I will never have. Since the restaurant was not always busy the buffet was there all the time. And has no guarantee of the good quality. I saw most of the dishes repeat the next day as well. Room overall was not good. The place looked like a abandoned hotel were only a few guest come. The hotel is very old. The rust and the wear and tear tells you that. The major problem the hotel has is the abundance of mosquitoes and there is no action taken against the hotel management. Lots and lots of mosquitoes just everywhere. The taxi which came to pick us up to go to town picked up 100 of of mosquitoes till the time we all went in the cab. Overall a bad experience. Overview

The Checkers, a luxury hotel is located in the commercial area of Mount Road and has a total of 105 pool facing rooms. The hotel is just 7 kms away from airport and 5 kms away from US Consulate. There is also banquet rooms Cleopatra, The Meadows, Red Hok that can hold upto 15-70 people. Guests can satiate their taste buds with Chinese cuisine at Crystal Jadge, or simply unwind, and relax at Stimulation, the coffee shop.

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
