    Not really worth it - Average hotel

    I went with my family to Ooty over a long weekend and ended up staying here as most of the other hotels were already booked. The road leading to the hotel is really steep, rough and narrow. So if you are planning to drive yourself better be careful. Our rooms were on ground floor and the ceilings and walls had damp patches. It was a compact room which had a tiny living room and a tiny balcony attached to it. The good part was that the view from the balcony was nice. There was a window right on top of my bed. I had never seen such a hotel until i saw this one. I liked the tea there but the food was average. Our rooms included breakfast which we had on the first day but avoided later. Having your meals outside would be a better idea if you are planning to stay here. Hotel staff is courteous and helpful but room service might take some time.     Good potential, scope for improvement

    We had just been to this place. Stayed there for 2 nights. We got a 2 bedroom unit. They have designed it in such a way that you enter a small sitting area, and then u enter your bedroom. In our case our bedroom had another door to enter neighboring bedroom. This way we got 2 bedrooms plus 1 sitting room. But neighboring sitting room was locked and not available, which is fine, but that's where the problem was. They had converted that sitting room into on-call staff area. So the phone kept ringing from early morning until 11.30 in the night. We could hear voices clearly. So there is no audio privacy. Cutting 1 star for that. Please don't take joint rooms 2,3 until they move the adjoining staff room somewhere else. About the room. Excellent. Neat and clean. Latest 32" LCD, but bad reception quality :). Doesn't matter as we were not there to watch TV. BTW, small balcony opens on the back side. The yellow side of the building in photos is actually the back side, which is first visible from approach road as well as from Coonoor road. View is OK. You see neighboring resorts, Coonoor road. But don't look right down at the grass below. Plastic and litter thrown. So preferably don't book ground floor room. Also our first floor room actually has entrance at parking level because of hill. Bathroom - excellent. Clean. Hot water on demand via huge storage heater. But the wash basin does not have hot water line. This seems like a basic plumbing negligence when u see the bathroom tap right beside having a hot water line. Even in this season, water was pretty freezing on the hands. Service - pretty good. Polite staff. Brought towels, soap, shampoo, drinking water without much follow up. Don't know his name, but the main person in the on-call room labelled as reception, did not even accept tip. I saw him working hard throughout the day. Kudos to him. Breakfast - Scope for improvement. Dont know why they have sitting arrangement on terrace floor, when I saw some banquet like looking hall right on parking level which was always empty. They give coupon for daily complimentary breakfast. Quantity is unlimited, but only tea included. Coffee is chargeable. Weird :). Taste was decent. Variety was decent. But i found it repetitive on 2nd morning. Subjective taste opinion - Just that they used to cut the chilli which mixed into sambhar and made it too hot for my taste. They don't have full service restaurant, they come to take order in evening for dinner. For some reason, they asked us only on second evening of our stay. In any case, we found a decent full service restaurant in neighboring resort and had dinner there. So no comments on quality of dinner here. Value for money: Considering size of room, amenities, peak season etc, we feel it was neither cheap nor expensive. Booking was convenient over phone, with email confirmation after online transfer of one night charges. Remaining were paid cash during checking in, and process was smooth.     I was on a holiday with my wife and my 2yrs old son in the first week of March in this resort , the room alloted to us was beautiful and the clean and the support staffs kept the room clean and tidy. this resort proved to be the one of the finest resort in ooty....the front office staff was very helping and cheerful all in all it was a wonderful experience, will be back soon thanks bliss... More

Overview

The Bliss Resorts and Cottages offers free internet access to its guests. This resort in Ooty is located at proximity of 4 km from Ooty Railway Station. This resort houses a total of 7 well-furnished rooms. Each room is equipped with basic amenities such as wardrobe, bottled drinking water, temperature control, television, toiletries and an attached bathroom with hot and cold water supply.

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes.   7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
