Nice quiet place nr Anjuna beach
on Jun 24, 2017
This place is a nice small property with 12 rooms, each having a nice covered si tout. The rooms are neat and clean with clean linen. The bathrooms too are very good. The rooms appear fairly new. The property is small and has nothing much to offer in terms of common areas that hotel properties usually have. But if you are looking for a tranquil place to spend your nights and early mornings , at the current tariff I would say its good value for money.
The property has a wonderful calmness about it and I had my room just besides the majestic banyan looming over one side of the property.
No intercoms in the rooms. The basics like tea/coffee, eggs , sandwiches etc are available on room service.
There is a German Bakery just a few steps away from the property, which unfortunately was shut for the season when we visited in June.
If you are looking for a nice , clean, quiet place near Anjuna beach n not too far away from Baga area, this is the place to be.
It would have been nice if they had kept a few tables with umbrellas at the open space near the entrance for tea, to enhance the experience. Also the chairs in the sit out are particularly uncomfortable to sit on as they are in a angle when you sit and they are more like dining chairs than sit out lounge chairs. Cane lounge chairs here would be really great.
Overall, I would recommend this place for a nice stay while you explore Goa 👍🏻.😊
Great setting and great service

Stayed at this guesthouse for three nights in May. There are twelve rooms, all with their own terrace and seating area, air conditioning and a modern bathroom. The sheets are clean, and the team made sure my stay was enjoyable and comfortable. While the Banyan Soul doesn't serve food, when I arrived late at night, they provided me with the details of a take-out restaurant that was able to deliver within fifteen minutes.
The facility if a ten-minute walk from the beach and from most of the nightlife, right behind the German bakery. While the bakery was closed off season, there's a decent range of other places to grab breakfast within a five-minute walk. There's also a corner shop one minute away that sells the basics and will take care of your laundry. The team was also helpful in organising a taxi to my next destination.
I highly recommend this place.
It was really a clean & comfortable hideout

We stayed there for three nights and found the hotel clean and well maintained, inside and outside too. The gardens are well kept and manicured. The scooty was available right there, and hotel staff was also friendly. The owner was away so could not meet him. But I found the tea served there, pretty expensive. I suggest they should include morning tea, like breakfast (which they don't serve) in the package. I recommend the hotel for those who love to live far from crowd and yet enjoy all the basic amenities.
Comfortable boutique hotel in quiet location

The Banyan Soul is a small hotel located on a quiet lane in a peaceful setting. It is quiet and relaxing but still only a ten minute walk to Anjuna beach and near to local restaurants. The rooms are simply but stylishly furnished with powerful AC and plentiful hot water. The owner Sumit was on hand to give useful tips but all of the staff were very friendly. We didn't try the in-room snacks but the hotel is only steps away from two very good cafes: The German Bakery and Michelle's Garden. The setting is calm and peaceful but it is still only a short ride to the beaches and bars in Baga and CAlangute. I recommend it!

Nice simple clean room with a nice environment in Anjuna. The staffs are very friendly. The hotel is really a good choice within budget. A banyan tree with a library underneath is a addition for some leisure time at the hotel.
