    Spent an extra week here as the location was so beautiful. Overlooked the lake and into the city with all it's temples and history. Sat on rooftop restaurant watching our washing being done in the actual lake. Bumped into a random elephant as we went to pick up some fruit... More

    Plusses beat minuses. Not what it used to be, but still – will love to stay there again, anytime!

    There certainly were some disappointing shortcomings, compared to the 4 (yes four!) previous times I stayed there. But, in fairness, they are in a renovation process. Downside: No toiletries and no fridge in room (as in previous visits), bed and bathroom linen not too good this time, nor tea-making facilities in the room at all (as before) and the availability of items on menu now somewhat limited. Upside: The stunning view, 180 degrees over lake Picola, Gangaur Ghat, City Palace, hills and much, much more, not only from the room but also from especially and even more so from the restaurant and rooftop area, even as far as the Monsoon Palace! (And also a great place to enjoy dinner). The hotel staff is definitely a plus, friendly, helpful and keen to please. I love the ambience and character of this place. I sincerely hope that once their renovations have been completed, all the problems will have been sorted out.... More

    Excellent view from room

    We stayed for one night in November 2017.The rooms with lake view give an excellent view of lake Pichola.They provided complimentary breakfast. As we were leaving for Jodhpur early morning, they were kind enough to pack our breakfast at 7am.They provided car for pick up from railway station.Rooms were clean well maintained.Gives a palace like feeling in budget....     I stayed in Thamala Haveli for about a week and I had a great time. The staff is kind and super friendly, and also the rooms are clean and neat. I didn't try the food though,but the view from the roof top is beautiful. Much recommended!!... More

    First impressions were favourable. The view from our room (106) is spectacular. If this is your priority go for it! The two terraced rooftop areas are also great for fantastic views. Our other experiences: Food: Breakfast was ok. Supper (with the view again great) was ok. Portions not copious but adequate. We had to settle for a recommendation because the 1st 4dishes that we attempted to order (on the menu) was not available. We were the only customers eating whereas the adjacent rooftop restaurants were all buzzing with activity. The room: first impression superficially clean. Gorgeous marble floors. Freshly painted walls.Lakeside windows are screened in, side window does not have screens. There is an AC unit but I did not use it as I am nuts about fresh air if at all possible. There is also a ceiling fan that works. The bed mattress is comfortable,good support. The bedding is threadbare and not fresh. Not sure if it was actually clean. Same goes for the greyish towels, that we had to ask for. About the bathroom: there was nothing in it. Nothing. No soap, shampoo or toilet paper or lotion. We had to ask. Eventually we got 2 sachets of shampoo (for black hair - we are both quite blond) eventually we got one little soap. The toilet / cistern ball valve does not work properly. We were told to push the lever gently, but that did not solve the problem. Flushed the toilet with a bucket eventually. Oh and we had to ask for toilet paper too. The room has no fridge, very inconvenient as I have medication that I need to keep cool. Also, we were told that we are not allowed to drink our own beer or beverages in the hotel. There are no glasses in the room. No kettle. All very inconvenient as I get up very early (before 6) and like to have a cup of coffee. The hotel is under renovation and they gave big plans. Apparently, the top floor terrace is a recent addition. I hope for their sake that they will relax the attitude that the customer is a necessary evil to do business. One of the few places in India where I felt quite unwelcome. ... More

Booking Policies
  1. The standard check-in time is 10 AM and the standard check-out time is 10 AM. Early check-in or late check-out is strictly subject to availability and may be chargeable by the hotel.Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
