and hospitality everything is excellent.

Insensitive to the core!!!

Being an ardent believer in travelling, with a decade of hotel hopping experience I can safely say that this is one if the most insensitive establishments I have encountered.
A confirmed booking through a travel portal in today's day and age translates to the guest having a guaranteed place to reside. In fact most travel websites go a step further by saying "your booking is confirmed and there is no need for you to contact the hotel". However being a firm believer in cross checking before setting out I casually called up the hotel giving them my booking reference details. To my horror I was given to understand that being a long weekend all the rooms were already given out!
The most disturbing part being that the manager did not even sound apologetic and turned into a travel agent offering me advise on other hotel options. Another extremely bizarre point to ponder is of how this would have been handled if I had turned up at the hotel without calling. Would my family and me have been turned away?
For all those of you planning a vacation here please beware! This could be your worst nightmare being stuck at a hotel which lacks sensitivity towards its guests. Of course that is if they even allot you a room.... More

Rooms here are only facing the river, but not close to the river. Rooms are at least 100m from the river and covered well by trees. TV wasn't working in our room.

I loved everything about this resort... My review is kinda late I vacationed here with my family in the year 2013 around the month of September but I have to say this place is incredibly beautiful .. I dont know if it's the landscape or the interiors or the the architecture..i only regret not having captured more photos.... More

We stayed here last year for 10 days. The first weekend a group of YOUNG Indians stayed and their partying with such loud boom, boom music woke us up at midnight. The Windows and doors are supposed to be double glazed glass but not alas strong enough to stop the thump, thump at full volume. I am registered profoundly deaf and seemingly not deaf enough!
The owner promised to turn the volume down and did so for a short time before it all started up again. Meanwhile the guests were drinking in the pool which was in a terrible state with broken glass and cloudy, next morning. The owner promised it wouldn't happen again and the rest of our stay was very enjoyable so much so we are here again. Our first night here we were again woken at 1.0 a.m. Same thumping music.
If you like deafening music then this place is for you. Rooms are spacious and tastefully furnished. The setting and garden stretches down to the river and could be most serene, except this year, it is a building site next door, but that is not Safira's fault.... More
