Mixed feeling..good hospitality but poor access amd maintenance
on Nov 26, 2017
Good thing hotel food and staff is too good.. very polite..
Our package includes valley view room.. breakfast and dinner .. and I can say all preparation are good...
Recommendations: plan check-in and day tour move by 7:00 am ..
.. just beware and plan accordingly that the access road to hotel is closed from morning 8am to 7pm.. and this schedule is planned till next year Dec2018..
If some one stay .. make sure you try to get the corner room with both forest and valley view
Bad thing : somehow due to lack of communication from both hotel and tour agent about road construction, we have to change plan and directly after 5hr journey from Cochin to Munnar.. we have to do sightseeing on first day unlike planned for second day..
Also the room we got in hotel on day 1 is not good but was changed to other room that too to corner room...
Debating between 1 or 2 star! Great view, poor amenities, terrible food
on Oct 29, 2017
We stayed in Munnar for two nights. I will recommend to take hotel far from city to get a feel of the location. That way, Teamount suites fit in the description. The location is remote, it is surrounded by hills and has a great view! The hotel manager is warm hostess and I was overall positive about our stay. However, things quickly changed for worse. There was no hot water in he bathroom. Dinner got horribly delayed due to some problem...we ordered food at 7.30 PM and it arrived after 10.30! Next day we got to know that few guests got food after midnight! Food was below average. Breakfast was terrible - they couldn't make idali properly! I mean one would think, what could go wrong with idali, right? They added awful amount of salt in the batter - idali was super salty, sambar had no salt! Hot water was still a problem. The dinner that night was also terrible - every simple food including roti was awful, I don't even want to explain and remember that disaster! We got the message and skipped rest of their meals. Barring the poor amenities and awful food, the saving grace is the amazing view from window, welcoming hostess and clean rooms. However, I'm emotional about my food and will never again book this hotel.
Talking about Munnar, it is great for relaxing, has cold foggy weather and is scenic for tea / spice plantation. We did a short spice plantation tour which was useful (though overpriced - 100 bucks for 15 mins intro of spice plants), because we could identify all roadside plantations throughout the next 4 days.
I think it's important to chk recent reviews since older reviews for this hotel are good but they have changed for worse now!
3 star hotel with 1 star feel
on Jul 6, 2017
I had booked this hotel trusting goibibo reviews which claimed it to be a 3 star hotel but upon reaching there I was shocked to see the condition of the hotel. It was in the middle of nowhere with no decent reception or even a decent entry to the hotel. There was no security and the rooms were big but in a bad condition. The room had huge openable windows but no grill which was very dangerous for children as my room was at a height of 2 floors. The bathroom had no ventilation or exhaust and neither were there any fans in either of the rooms. The living room had a kitchen sink which was smelling. In short the room was so pathetic that I chose to give up my Rs. 9000/- of non refundable fare rather than staying in this horror house. The hotel staff were co operative and offered another room but can't blame them as the rooms were just not good. Both rooms I saw were in the same condition. I finally got lucky and moved to Sienna Village which was like heaven. This property is only fit to be called a 1 or 2 star .. please don't be misleaded by the photos as the rooms are in bad condition. Only take the rooms if your budget is Rs. 2000/-. I blame goibibo here to a great extent as this hotel is certified by them and it only says how bad their choice and quality control is. They straight away refuse to honour their money back guarantee.

This was a great hotel once up on a time, now it has aged with two properties sandwiching this hotel from two sides and spoiling its look and the property is situated in a very small patch of land.when this property was built it was done very nicely but needs a lot of maintainable and uplift now it is pretty run down , I checked in yesterday at 6 pm and the electricity went out and they started an antique generator which stopped working after 10 minutes and there was no powers for a long time in and off but both the property next door allmost looking like one property had electricity. This place does not have a proper restaurent u have to give order in advance and they vl make it for u. But the food was very tasty and the buffet breakfast was also very good and all the staff was very friendly , there was no hot water in the evening and even after mentioning it at the reception they vl send someone to check but it never materialised, the bed the linen all were very nice and the view from the hotel is very nice but the other hotel in front was giving this property a shabby look,

My mum brother and family had fantastic stay at Teamount suits on the 5th May. My brother works at Taj Vivanta Cochin. His colleague introduced Teamount to us. Very pleasant staff, welcoming and very helpful. Rooms are very spacious and excellent. Good location and quiet, ideal for all to retreat from a busy life to quiet moments of peace and tranquility.
Good food and good room service. I recommend to all to enjoy the peace of Munnar, Kerala, India.
