Pathetic service, most arrogant owner. Not worth any effort to go there. Don’t get fooled by the 5-star “reviews”.

From check in till check out, our stay was a harrowing experience.
I got their superior cottage booked thru. booking.com. I was informed by the hotel a day later that they were full and that I needed to cancel thru booking.com. Immediately as I cancelled thru booking.com I was informed they suddenly had a room if I directly booked thru them.
I was informed the rooms are equipped with heaters. I had particularly inquired the same as we had our little daughter travelling with us. However to my shock there were no heaters in the room when we checked in. After several requests, they delivered one that didn’t work. A few more requests led them to bring us one that worked, finally!
Phone is provided in the room for room service however no one receives them on the other side. I had to make rounds to the reception to be able to find someone who could be of assistance. When I did find someone after the third round, I was informed their intercom hasn’t been working for days!
We decided to go to their dining area to order tea as there was no one to deliver it in the room. It took them an hr just to get tea which we could not even finish half! Bad food is their forte! And going out to any restaurant around is impossible given the treacherous and long drive one has to take to get to this secluded location.
Getting a bit curious about how a “resort” could work in such a manner, I inquired from one of the servers who informed that the owner called them from the nearby village when the hotel was full. None of them were given any training whatsoever. None of them appeared to be a full time employee anyway as they were in their casuals with no uniform, including the chef. When I requested to see the manager, one of those boys told me the manager was on leave and there was nobody on duty that day. Fed up of all this thus far, I called up their owner. To my shock, the owner said he only spoke to us to give us the direction of the place and he was not responsible to run the property. This was communicated to me in possibly the most rude fashion there could be. When I inquired from one of the boys about who ran the place, to my surprise, I was given the owner’s name!
I immediately decided to look for better hotels around but to our disappointment, everything around was sold out due to new yrs. We somehow managed to spend 2 nights at this property that could have been an experience to remember in the most pristine places in the region had it not been under this owner.
Opensky seems to be either least bothered about the guest experiences or are party to this pathetic service.

The road to this resort is difficult for people coming with bigger vehicles SUVs etc. The resort's location is good with river facing and a small stream running beautifully within the property too. But, the rooms are in a bad shape. Very poorly kept, cleaning & maintenance is not up to any standards for the price. The service is very slow, food is average in taste. A very disappointing experience... We had to cut short our stay... No proper management is there... Don;t spoil your vacation by going there.
Great location but needs upkeep to get back to what it can be!

The location is like no other. Not just in Manali but anywhere else, the location beats any other. Nested in the middle of a vast green property with 'tall trees', a river spring running by, tasteful rooms, very warm staff & service. The food is good too.
The areas which need improvement are - Some of the places requires maintenance, like the dining area floor for sure. Also the overall lighting at night needs to be improved. The sad part was the house phone didnt work well and was not taken care of inspite of complaining. And if you travling with kids who want a bit of TV, they dont offer to many channel options (again inspite of requesting fot this).
Lastly, avoid the camping area for a stay during off peak times, as it could be very lonely.

Luxurious Rooms or Riverside Tents,Narnia like jungles, waterfall inside the resort, amazing food, best service what not???”
This place is truly heaven, it was my 5th visit to manali but truly turned out to be the most special one. It was my daughters 2nd birthday and I was so excited to visit this resort as I wanted her birthday to be celebrated somewhere in the jungle. And the Team helped me a lot ,Entire staff was Brilliant.
From start while reaching towards the resort through small bridge and dense forest to river side camping or having breakfast in Narnia like jungle or luxurious rooms with gushing sound of waterfall inside the resort everything was exceptional, an experience of another level.
My pictures will say it all..
