    We were here for a short stay - 3 nights. Booked ourselves an Executive Room with access to the lounge. The airport pickup organised was great (especially when you land in at 1am!). In the morning found out that the lounge didn’t offer breakfast...instead you need to go to the main restaurant on level 6. I’ve stayed in many exec / club lounge facilities and found nothing special about having an Exec room to a standard room, ie, no express check-in, got to wait in the queue with the rest of the guests. The room boasts to have a Lavazza coffee machine...the machine was pretty old and there were no pods! The buffet breakfast selection was ok, however for a 4* hotel I’ve experienced better breakfast selections in India. The selection was repetitive. As other reviewers have mentioned, the service is a hit and a miss. Some staff are attentive and genuinely are fantastic (I guess they need to carry the weight of the staff who walk around in their suits and are on their mobiles looking important but really they are on social media!). Another example of poor service, prior to arriving I’d asked for a late checkout as our flight left at 2am, I was given incorrect info. I was left to believe this was locked in however when we confirmed this was not the case I was told that the site didn’t receive the request, even though the conversation occurred with the reservation team directly. This couldn’t be done as by the time we got here, the hotel was sold out! I would have expected the reservations team to advise me that they were experiencing high demand due to a wedding function! So our last day of spending the time by the pool was not meant to be. The housekeeping was below standard...Housekeeping 101 - check for # of guests in the room and provide towels accordingly. We had to ask for additional towels each day. There was no toilet papers provided once you ran out :-(. The hair drier didn’t work as the power in the bathroom wasn’t working. You claim to “care for the environment” so don’t take away towels that aren’t placed on the bathroom floors! But do provide additional towel rails to cater for your maximum guests! Also there weren’t any clothes line in the bath especially if you wanted to dry out your togs. Really poor attention to detail. Too many flaws to be calling staff about them all the time. Property is dated in general as you can see with the cracks in the bathroom. There were mildew type marks around the shower floor, however I understand that this is attributed to the corrosive nature of the water. Still not a good look. There are no USB ports either by the bedside or by the power station - this is a bare minimum in the technology age that we live. I’m surprised that this was overlooked at the time the property was built. As a traveller I find this type of lack of attention to detail off putting especially when your are charging me a decent amount of money per night. On the positive note, great location, attached to the City Centre 2 Mall, and some staff were fantastic. 10 years on since you first opened the charm has worn off you Swissotel Kolkata! There are many new hotels that have now sprung up in the New Town / Rajarhat area which gives travellers more opportunities to choose from now!... More

    very nice hotel, friendly staff. location is nicely selected closeby to the airport which makes it very convenient for late arrivals. Foods overall are very nice, especially breakfasts with wide varieties. I would probably stay in the same hotel on my next trips... More

    Nice Hotel but Service Needs Significant Improvement!!!

    A Five Star hotel near Kolkata Airport and City Centre however service levels were more like three star hotel. Room was very spacious but there was nobody in housekeeping to answer after 10 pm. I checked into my hotel at night and found that none of the plug points were working. After calling the housekeeping several time, I just gave up. I had dinner at hotel which was a buffet meal. The vegetarian spread was very limited for the hotel of this size and the money charged by them. Infact non veg appetizers were served on my table without even asking. Inspire of me telling that I am a vegetarian I didnt get any veg appetizers. While I didn't have good experience with dinner the breakfast spread was very good and offered some excellent local food. It can be great hotel to stay especially given its location, if they improve their services a bit. ... More

    Stayed here for 5 nights with Friends. Had a junior suite with small private pool/jacuzzi- was great. Lovely roof top pool -with great views. Good breakfast in a relaxed restaurant environment. Right next to the shopping mall & cinema. Reception staff were really helpful.... More

Overview

Located in Rajarhat beside the IT hub, the hotel offers a distinct mix of leisure & business facilities. Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.

  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
