Feel valued and get treated well

Whatever I can sum up in words is not enough to convey the happiness and pleasantry we had during our 3 night stay there as a family. The staff is best ever i have met, they feed you with their hearts out and serve you like a royal guest. The rooms we excellent with all necessary stuff nicely kept and of good quality. You can also have social bonfires and dance. There is well designed and stocked toddler play room, walk thru the tea plantations next to it. You can also do some unadulterated cosmetics shopping.
One of the best Getaways ever!

If you are looking for a practical definition of the word 'homestay', this is it. A great home away from your home. The moment you reach Sunvalley, you are greeted by smiling, (genuine) happy faces. Room check-in was really smooth and simple. Then they take you to the room, and trust me - you will be spell-bound to see the view. It's unlike anything - like something that you have seen in movies/ TV comes to reality. I spend like 10 minutes just looking outside before I even saw how the room was like. And trust me - pictures don't do any justice to the reality.
Coming to the hospitality, they treat you like members of your family. Raghav, Babu, Reena and Anisha at the front desk are there to assist you with whatever you need. Also, the restaurant staff - Sharath, Rameez and Sharukh. The moment they see your plate empty, they come running with something or the other and make sure you atleast taste the food even if you are full. Very hard working people and nice human beings to talk to. You forget all your worries when you talk to them.
The food - Just great. When you taste the food, you realise how fresh it is; and it makes sense why they need you to place an order atleast 3 hours before the meal. The chief chef Sujana personally goes to each and every family at the dining table to get feedback on the food quality. She makes sure you get to eat whatever you want to.
And finally, the owners Mr. Dhinesh and Mrs. Shyma. Very nice people to talk to, you feel a genuineness in them. They try their level best to keep not just their customers happy, but their staff members too. Only if all the hotel owners could be like them.
If given a chance, will definitely visit this place again. And highly recommend Sunvalley to all those who is looking for a calm weekend to unwind their mind.

We were a group of 5 families consisting of 10 adults and 3 children so we were given 5 spacious rooms in the new cottage block for us to stay close to one another. We stayed for 3 days and 2 nights. The rooms were extremely comfortable, clean, and modern, and not to forget overlooking the estate’s beautiful tea plantation. The entire property is well maintained, peaceful and surrounded by gorgeous scenery.
The staff are wonderful, professional and provided amazing service even before we reached the place. Raghav kept in touch through email, then whatsapp and helped us arrange transport with a reliable driver, Mr Shankar, to fetch us from Namakkal and to show us sights around Coonoor and Ooty.
The home cooked South Indian food at their kitchen is heavenly and it was always served hot and fresh. The staff never kept us waiting and tended to our needs promptly.
The kids thoroughly enjoyed their stay too. We took morning walks in the tea plantation and they loved playing with the pet dog Soni that stays there. The staff also helped to arrange a bonfire for the kids to sing, dance and have fun.
The group of us were pleasantly surprised that the owners are from Singapore like us and there were little things that reminded us of home.
I would highly recommend this place to anyone travelling to The Nilgiris area. The beautiful property and personalised service would leave you spoilt.
