    Great location, but don't expect too much

    The hotel was okay. When we arrived there was a minor issue with our reservation. I had pre-paid but they asked for a payment. We had to wait for the Receptionist to confirm the payment with the manager. That should be done before the guest arrives. They offer a night time coffee/snack in their restaurant for free. This was a nice option after spending lots of money over the week eating out. It was our last night in Curitiba so we were able to eat for free. They had soup and some other hot snacks as well as breads, cakes, ham and cheese, fruits and coffee. The next morning they offered pretty much the same for breakfast except without the soup. The room was the problem. The bed was comfortable and big for two people. But the room was really dirty. The floor was dirty, The shower had mold growing in the grout. But the biggest problem was the shower. The water was barely warm. It is winter in Curitiba. Nobody wants to take a cold shower. It was extremely uncomfortable. What is more bothersome about the water being cold is the fact that after reading comments on other sites and on this site, the cold water problem has been going on at this hotel for a while. Yet, the hotel has done nothing to correct the problem. Which tells me that they either don't care or are trying to save money by not keeping the water adequately hot.... More

    Extremely helpful staff and great location

    This hotel is perfect to see the centre of Curitiba. Alvario was wonderful - I'd just lost my passport just before I arrived, and speaking no Portuguese, I wasn't sure what to do. He spent hours with me, on the phone to the airports, airlines, local and federal police. He even refused a tip, despite making a huge difference to my holiday and spending heaps of time with me. The rest of the staff were also really helpful, and most of them speak fluent English. In terms of the food, there was a standard Brazilian hotel breakfast - buffet style, lots of variation. And if you're money conscious, they have a free 'supper' as well - usually soup, very nice and easily enough for dinner. The rooms are nice but basic, though being in such a beautiful city you spend most of your time outside anyway. If I make it back to Curitiba, I'll definitely be staying here again.... More

    This is my favourite hotel in the Brazilian culture capital, Curitiba. The hotel is centrally located and a throw-stone away from various department stores and several restaurants. Most of the staff at Hotel Centro Europeu make an effort to communicate with overseas guests. Dieter from reception speaks perfect English. He is a great asset to this gem of a hotel.... More

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
