    Pathetic Rooms, Food and Service

    I stayed in this Hotel on 8th Oct 2017. Let me tell you guys, I booked this Hotel after the good reviews I saw here in Tripadvisor. However, Reality was just simply worst. No doubt guys, the Hotel location is simply awesome and on a picturesque place. That said, that's the one and only good and positive thing I can mention about this Hotel. Rest is simply not worth the amount I paid for Deluxe Room. First and foremost: 1) Rooms: Please refer the Photos. It was so smelly and pathetic. Bedsheets were not clean and Room paint started fading. Bathroom, Toilet, were simply pathetic.. 2)Food: I ordered some Non-Veg items and Soup. Trust me I have never had such tasteless food in my entire life and hope will never be.. 3) Breakfast: Its just a congested place and there was no much option for Breakfast.. Butter & Jam was.. Lets not talk about it. Overall, I will never even dare to rate the standard of Breakfast and Food they serve. If the management of the Hotel are reviewing my comments here and want to validate, Kindly go through the Booking under my name on 8th Oct and also review the rating I provided on the Feedback form. I infact clearly told the Duty manager that this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed...... More

    I had a great stay in this hotel with my family for 3 days and 2 nights. Very comfortable and luxurious moreover yummy buffets, good hospitality, nice views and also convenient location. Liked it would surely recommend to others.... More

    Strategically located hotel

    Me and my wife stayed in this hotel for three nights & four days during last week of November 2017. I hope my opinion would help others. Location:- location wise hotel is very strategically located in terms of visiting all the famous spots like Ridge, Jakhu temple, Lakkar bazar and mall road etc. One can enjoy the late evening walk to The Ridge as it is just 8 min walk from hotel. On first day we found the steep walk difficult but later we got acclimatized. HOWEVER, NOT a good location for older people. I also suggest to park the vehicle at public parking near "the lift". From where walk to the hotel is 15-20 min. (depending on your physical strength and luggage). Only disappointment is, hotel people do not mention clearly about the exact location of hotel and if pick up facility is available or not. (Even in email when you ask about this repeatedly). Hotel facilities:- are very good. However one should not expect 5 star facilities when paying average amount. Water pressure in shower was not perfect but i did not mind. Hotel Cleanness:- is excellent. Spotless bedsheets. Well decorated room. Hotel staff:- Well professional staff. However housekeeping staff is not very well trained but well behaved. Mr. Dharmendra, Manager is a nice & prompt person at hotel. Sales team:- The only big disappoint was thr sales team who are highly opportunist. I will not mention the name but the person with whom i was corresponding the emails regarding rates was not sincere. They gave me different quotation and charged high rates at the time of arrival. I understand rate gets changed as per room availability but this happens in season periods NOT in OFF SEASON!. Also i have not seen change of rates within 24 hrs which happened with me. Paying mere Rs. 300/- per night additional is not a big deal (which i did for three night) but thn what was the purpose of writing emails days well in advance. Corresponding with the sales team is absolutely waste of time. All they look for money and not repeating customers. Food:- quality is average but quantity is ridiculous. Don't know why they serve in small bowls. Anytime not adequate for two persons. Food cost is also very high. Anyway we enjoyed meals at HPTDC Ashiyana which is the best located restaurant near Ridge.... More

    A nice hotel atop Shimla

    The Hotel is perched above Mall Road and behind the Church on Jakhoo Road. The crow flight distance to the railway station is just 2 kms. However, the road where it is located is inaccessible by cabs until 7 in the evening and the actual distance is about 9 kms. The room offers a view of the entire Shimla city and is peaceful. Good for a stroll to and from Mall Road if you are fit to conquer the steep hills of Shimla. Getting there with luggage and without a car would be a misadventure. The room had a slightly old fashioned look which is typical of hill stations. The heater seemed weak but kept the room warm enough for an uninterrupted sleep in near 0 degree temperatures.     We had a great stay at this place. Beautifully maintained. Good food. Good staff. We had reached earlier in the hotel as my bus reached early in the city. I was expecting some more concern on providing me earlier check-in. Would have been more hospitable. Rest, all was awesome. We will surely visit again ! ... More

  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
