The cottage care taker is the bomb, nice elderly man who is a very hard working person.Helpful at any cause, polite and professional.
This cottage was previously an orphanage and was converted into a cottage.
A good cook as well very careful about the customers.Hospitality is good.Treats guest as a family.Ex chef in a star hotel.
Advantages:price reasonable, near housing areas,not in traffic prone areas,there is a Pentecostal AG church in a walking distance,wifi on board for free,meals prepared fresh upon request with charges, have 4 rooms
Disadvantages: Inet line is slow,often gets electricity cut if your unlucky,hot water is from 6am-10am only provided in the toilet, water pressure is really horrible like takes forever to fill up the pail,rooms are very cold if it's rainy season or normal days as not much sealed,not so spacious.Cleanliness is 3.5/10
No basic amenities but upon request they will provide blankets and pillows on extra charges.
No shops or restaurants near by or any sight seeings in a walking distance.
Generally this place is ok for solo or small group travelers that would stay out the whole day and returns only at late evening to sleep.
I would stay here if would return back to ooty.
