    This hotel is the absolute pits. Total shambles. We arrived around 10.30pm and couldn’t wait to get checked in after a long day of travel. Upon check in we were told they didn’t have our booking and they were full and we needed to phone fabhotels head offices (I think, I still don’t know who I spoke to on the phone). They agreed the hotel was full and they didn’t have confirmation of my booking. We continued to show and try explain to the reception team our booking confirmation email and how we had paid online. Still nothing. No apology and certainly no offer to sort anything out. It was around midnight and we ended up getting relocated to a different hotel after I had been on the phone to my bookings agent, absolutely amazing place who couldn’t do anything more for us upon our arrival there. (Trident, Chennai). I asked the reception team to call us a taxi so we could move on ‘use Uber’ he replied. So after reconnecting to their internet (it kept going off) we managed to get a ride. Before getting a confirmation, they had yet another power cut meaning we couldn’t get our Uber. I then asked reception to get us one. Eventually he agreed and one arrived around 1am. Points for the hotel, train your staff better and put the customer first. A ‘can do’ attitude and a little helpfulness wouldn’t go amiss. Avoid this hotel like the plague.     We had booked 2 deluxe rooms and 1 family room for an overnight visit to Chennai to attend a function Rooms were clean and comfortable. Air conditioning was very effective. Cannot comment on breakfast provided as we didn't have it there, but overall good place and courteous friendly staff... More

    Check in with Ajay was a nightmare. He repeately stated that this was not a FabHotel but only a 'partner' and our price from booking.com was too low and therefore was not going to honor the booking and insisted we should pay the rack rate instead. Previously to this we were already well aware of the non-prepayment policy at FabHotels so we did prepay (via PayPal) the 30% down. We also confirmed with booking.com after pre-paying that our reservation was confirmed (this took 2 calls to the hotel on booking.com's part .. about 12 hours apart). Booking.com confirmed that our 2 rooms were confirmed and there would be no issues. So back to calling booking.com, who called the hotel (and Ajay faithfully said it wasn't his problem and gave booking.com yet another number to call ... not sure what happened after that but about 30 minutes later I got a call from booking.com that we would have both rooms in 15 minutes. 2 Minutes later Ajay ran up to tell us that our reservation was cancelled! At this point booking.com knows nothing about the cancellation (because it was Ajay that helpfully 'cancelled' it). About 15 minutes later ... Ajay came back and said everything was okay and our rooms were ready. If I was not travelling with family I would simply have given Ajay 'the finger' and told booking.com to move us to a different hotel. We booked close to the hotel because we had 4 separate flights going to various destinations and after the 3am drop off we wanted to sleep. Hung the DND and woke to an 8am breakfast call ... So if you want to have a hassle free check in you have to book with FabHotel directly or make individual bookings for each room .. and prepay the 30% deposit. If you want to sleep in .. make sure you tell the staff that you do-not-want the free breakfast ... you aren't missing anything. +Has a working elevator.... More

    Pay at hotel is not genuine

    They advertise pay at hotel but if you don’t prior to your arrival, the booking gets cancelled. I called the hotel not to cancel the booking and advised them the credit card didn’t work on their website and yet they canceled two days out of three days stay The location is good, shopping, restaurants and temples are nearby but they need to focus on cleanliness. Towels and sheets are brown instead of white. The breakfast was very good... More

  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
