the Hotel was very strict, and You need to inform the security if ypu want to go out and when you suppose to come in,. I think everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. I would highly recommend to avoid this place.
Average stay not value for money

We stayed here for 4 days and it's a mixed experience:
1.Place is near kolkata airport so can be good use for transit purpose .
2.staff are very nice and helpful.
3.We ordered breakfast & Dinner from hotel and it was good.
4. Place is in Bangur avenue ,near lake town ,there are lot of restaurants outside so you can try food outside as well.Place is nice.
1. This is a Guest House and not Hotel .They close main gate at night .So you need to inform hotel staff if you want to go outside or if you plan to check in at night else you will face trouble.
2.We stayed in Deluxe room costing 2700/night and the below issues are observed :
a)Hotel manager asked for marriage certificate which is pretty relevant when a couple travel alone but we checked in with our parents and faced an embarrassing situation during check-in .We submitted marriage certificate and then only we were allowed to check-in. Front office communication with guest should be more professional .
b)AC in Deluxe room has no remote so you can not control temperature. It can be extreme cold for you.You need to upgrade Premium Deluxe Room for that.
c)The bed was clean but was not comfortable enough .They dint offer queen bed so if you have child /3 person in a room then it will be real problem.
Overall as per the experience if you are paying 1200/night for premium deluxe room then this can be a good deal for you else it will be money wasting.
Very unpleasant experience

This place was booked by my friend, whose wedding we are to attend. My wife and me were pre-booked to stay here a fortnight back. Upon check-in the staff asked us to produce our marriage certificate and we found that to be ridiculous. However, if they were courteous enough, I could have sourced the document. We were told that the local police raid the hotel and they need to produce marriage certificate for couples staying. The staff turned out to be arrogant and rude, questioning our relationship. I think everyone deserves to be treated with dignity. I would highly recommend to avoid this place.
Worst place ever

I had to give a 1 star rating because I could not give anything less. My husband and I were supposed to check into this place today. Our friend had booked and paid for the room in advance stating both our names as it was close to the venue where we were attending an event. My husband and I checked in for about 5 minutes before we were harassed by the staff to produce our marriage certificate as proof of our relationship. We were not requested for such documents while checking in. Neither were we requested to bring such documents along despite having the room booked for a fortnight. It appeared to be more of an afterthought. On my request for an explanation on why our marriage certificate is needed as I have never come across a similar instance, I was informed that the hotel was often raided by the police leading us to believe that there were dodgy things happening there. Our friend who booked the hotel arrived to assist us but to no avail. At the end of the day, we had to lug 3 pieces of luggage to another hotel without ever receiving a refund. It only occurred to me that the manager has no common sense to assume that we were up to something dodgy as my husband and I had flown in a long way from Bangalore to Kolkata with 3 large pieces of luggage. Both of us in our 30s and are anyway consenting adults. We later checked into another hotel and were not harassed about similar documents.
