We had gone to munnar with family for holidays . One of the best resorts. Staff was too good and supportive. Lovely food . Rooms were clean and maintained well. Lovely swimming pool in which my children enjoyed very much. Great and memorable stay . Would like to visit again.
Best Place to stay in Munnar (Devikulam)
on Oct 30, 2017
The resort is in Devikulam which is 20 mins away from the crowded city of Munnar. The resort is a heritage property. Although it needs some renovation but it is clean and decent for a few nights. The food option is limited and have to pre order. Pepper chicken, idly and sambar is very good. The resort is managed by Mr. Raja who is very accommodating and make sure the guests are happy. We were a group of 15 and stayed for 2 nights in the last week of October 2017. Around the property there is a SBI ATM and good places for morning walk. There is a Devi temple and a tea garden which is splendid. There is a another resort nearby Las Palmas where we had gone for lunch on the day we arrived. It serves good food too. It is 5 hrs from Kochi because of the winding roads. Nearby spots are Top Station,Rose Garden, Boating,Dreamland Fun Park,Matupetty dam.
Quaint place. Great tea & coffee. Eat elsewhere.

The owners live next door and perhaps read the reviews as i have noted changes with respect to earlier negative reviews. I tick off on all the lovely descriptions by earlier reviewers. And add that both, the tea and coffee, taste out of this world. Wish i could say the same for the food, whether pakodas or dinner (they do not offer lunch). Our driver certified the idlis as being great and the sambhar so-so.The bathrooms were clean, hot water was not easily available. Bedrooms are clean, linen white and clean. Windows closed and curtained.
A bell rings every hour, announcing time. Church bell from 6 am to 9 pm? Perhaps. Some other messages follow in the voice of a lady speaking English, but the high volume makes it impossible to hear clearly. If this bell were to go silent, one might happily ignore the pretentious cook's laziness served sincerely by Raja & team, and not notice that it is time to check-out. There is a quaintness about Devikulam and Springdale Resort that manages to leave time suspended beyond the green mountains. An old-world feel. Perhaps an ancient world feel of Sita having bathed in a pond here. Sadly, now this pond is the private property of local tea magnates and not allowed for the hoi polloi to even gaze on it, said helpful Raja.
Classy Heritage Property Perfect Stay for relaxing

Only 16 Rooms in heritage Property (British bungalow). If you are lucky enough to get Room, I would not think twice about reserving here if i can get a room. This Place is Located At Devikulam just 15min away from Munnar city. Spring dala Resport has been recently renovated, with great care being taken to preserve the character of the building. All of the furnishings are stylish and the bathrooms are plush.
Best part is Only BSNL Mobile Network will work other Mobiles server will show Zero Signals to spend lovely fulltime with Family members. Hotel provide Free internet but they had reduced bandwidth near Reception area only. Good thought
Staff : Warm welcome received from the staff really touched my heart
Food: Had Breakfast and Dinner food was also delicious
I have attached pictures of the Hotel
Pretty Decent property surrounded by nature
on May 24, 2017
I wanted to share our experience during our stay in Spring dale resort ,situated in Devikulam which is about 5kms before Munnar town. Firstly, we were quite impressed with the accomodation provided (rooms were definitely far different from the regular rooms), very spacious and with pretty good nature view. Second, the people who were working there are very polite and are going the extra bit to take care of the inmates. The whole team were very good, particularly Mr.Raja who was always there for us for any help or information needed. Third, the food was pretty decent though we felt there could be more choice for Breakfast, but dinner options were very good. Overall we had a pleasant stay away from the concrete jungles with no noise and pollution and for me (many may disagree) this was a boon where there was no network signal available (except for BSNL) and our phones were completely out of use, which gave us some good quality time to catch up. We are more than happy to recommend this place for someone making a trip to munnar.
