    2 night stay in an air conditioned room. Really comfortable. The food was lovely in the restaurant and the staff were really helpful. Only Criticism is there was no bottled water in the room which is a problem if you arrive after 9.30pm as all shops shut but you can still buy from the restaurant up to 12am.     Nice rooms, but very basic

    The rooms at Spice of Life were great. It is also extremely close to the beach such that you can even get a beach view room. Things to remember - Internet keeps going off. No drinking water in rooms. No telephone in rooms. No fridge or TV in rooms. Staircase is small and without railing. Not recommended for old people. Had to ask for a small table stand. Lighting in rooms is kind of dim. As the hotel sees mostly foreign guests, these amenities are not provided so you'll need to ask for it. The manager is quite nice. Restaurant serves great food. Market is close by.... More

    Couple of days stay in April

    Had a little nose online of what Mandrem had to offer and once we arrived we went straight to SOL to check out the rooms. Compared to the rest of Goa the prices are very good and you won't find anywhere near the same quality for the same price . The rooms are clean, big and very cool. We opted for a non-A/C room and we slept like babies. Didn't get much of a chance to try the food as we only stopped for a few days but the smells wafting out of the kitchen were wonderus! The owner Carmen and her family are fantastic hosts. The Nepalese boys are hilarious once you get to know them, safe travels home boys!... More

    Overpriced for Average Accomodation

    This was our third stop in Goa and can only use this stay as a comparison to the other two... On arrival, the greeting we received was met with confusion, as the staff at Spice were unsure of who we were, even though we had booked on line! After recognising our booking, we were handed our keys and guided to our room promptly. Our sea view room with balcony was okay. Not the clearest view, as obstructed by trees but you could just about see the sea! However, especially lovely, in the morning to draw your curtains open to... Room was satisfactory. Beach was only seconds away! Food was great and the staff, after making an effort to have conversation with, were friendly and polite. Wi-fi was NOT available/connected during our 4 day stay. Our overall stay at Spice was satisfactory but we feel improvements can be made, hence the review. We felt that on arrival, there wasn't anyone who took charge, hence the confusion. Furthemore, whether it was a lack of communication or not, we were not fully briefed, when we first arrived, on any amenities or services the hotel had to offer. Had this been done, perhaps we could've realised that we didn't have to pay each time for our breakfast, as was included in the price of our stay! However, this too was an oversight on our side, as missed on the small print that breakfast was included. Still strange why staff accepted our cash each time we had breakfast though? (A guesstimation refund of 250 rupees was made. Probably should've been nearer 1000 rupes but they had no proof of receipts, as they don't write customers name on the biils) After a couple of days into our stay, we met a lovely lady, who apparently was in charge of the hotel's guests!     Clean and basic but reasonable price and great service.

    Stayed here for just under a fortnight. I met one of the owners when I checked in who was ever so lovely, and all the staff were really helpful and the service was brilliant. India was a culture shock for me personally but the hotel was clean and well kept, the room fine but basic compared to western standards. Nevertheless the price reasonable and location was great, literally could watch the sunset off my balcony. ... More

Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 12 PM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
