    this is the second time visiting at Space Four Resorts at OOTY , Value for money , hospitality was too good. Only thing I found difficult was lack of sign board. though its next to Fern Place or half a KM away from Bus Stand Breakfast was prepared to keep south Indians happy with Dosha and Idly , room service is good.     I saw the photos of this resort and went to stay there. But had a very bad experience and the resort don't look like the photos which is shared in this Went to space4 on july 4, restaurant was not there and we had free breakfast. V had bad service from the service person. Only 3 items werethere and when v asked for more qty they wer negleting us. I ordered for an xtra omlet, they said they will not serve more. Only poori, samiya uppuma and kellogs was there. Heater was not working properly.hot water is available from 7 AM to 10AM and 7PM to 10 PM. So after that we have to use damm cold water of ootty I didn't see any kids friendly there. Wheel chair access not available as mentioned by them. Wifi only available in lobby. Lights was fallen from the fixture. Sofa had no cover which was very bad to see Restaurant is entirely different with no table mat or cover as seen in photo View was nice. ... More

    i took my parents to this resort and i had difficulty in reaching the place. the rooms are big but with ok service. but the staff is good and quick. TV sometimes doesn't work. dont expect breakfast in bed, bathroom is ok sometimes you have to call for water. i loved the view and quick service but my parents dint enjoy it at all. if you are going to stay here would recommend to stay nearby to reception for quick and easy service...     No frills Bed & Breakfast type resort

    I stayed in this resort from 2nd till 5th June with family. I had booked 2 rooms, so a total of 8 room nights we spent there. Here is my detailed review: Location - About 2 kms from the main town, the approach to this hotel is tedious. There is absolutely nothing for about a couple of Kms and as this property is new, few auto/taxi drivers knew it by name. Everytime I had to depend on mobile maps to lead them to the hotel. Good part is, since its away from the town, its really peaceful. Practically you can hear silence while you stay here. Hotel staff was cooperative and arranged for Autos everytime we requested them. Takes about INR 120 to the Commercial center and about INR 200 to the attraction points like Botanical garden or Rose Garden, etc. Infrastructure - Its a partially built resort. So you will see under construction cottages around. We had a couple next to ours, kind of gives a creepy feeling in the night. However after the first couple of nights, it did add to the mystic of the place. Being from the hospitality background, I will be a bit critical on the cottage layout. These come in 2 varieties, one opening up to the valley and other with windows to the valley. Inside its spacious, however the management really needs to re-design the interiors, Cottages have a double bed, a wardrode, which is rickety and next to that a half size vanity counter, which too is rickety. One of the rooms had a broken mirror. The funniest bit is the TV. its 14-20 inches and placed on a wall which is only accessible if you sit right in front. So no going off to sleep watching TV. Anyways, the parallel thought is, who goes to Ooty to watch TV and additionally the local language channels makes it even less enticing. The biggest flaw were the windows. We loved to keep them open as it opened a beautiful view of the valley. However, due to wind the windows kept banging and there are no stoppers. So if you had to see the view, you have to hold the windows open so they dont keep crashing. Cleanliness was ok. Dont expect a star rated level of service as well when it comes to housekeeping. Room cleaning happens on request and is not a periodic thing. Bathroom was large enough but extremely basic. Wash basin counter, WC, Bucket with tumbler and thats it. In the name of toiletries, you get two miniature bathing soap and two sachets of shampoo and thats it. Funny part was that the one towel given in the room vanished never to return post the 2nd day. Additionally there were a 4 seater dining table and a cane sofa set with a center table. Once again, no jazz and very basic. What most polished folks will have trouble with was the dirty and unkempt base foams on the sofa. Those really told of all the earlier occupants of the room. Bed linen is also very basic, You get one blanket and two pillows and thats it. Cant say it was awesomely clean. Resort service: They provide breakfast which is included in the package. You get milk, cornflakes, idly, sambhar, chutney, dosa/poha/vermicilli pulao (anyone), bread, jam (no butter), fruit (only watermelon), tea, coffee and omelette on request. Seating area is limited, so you might have to wait till someone vacates the table. Additional coffee/tea is on the expensive side (INR 40/cup). They dont serve lunch. For dinner it was a set menu of about 20 items. Not very expensive though and only a la carte. Room service is available but due to limited staff it takes anywhere between 30-45 mins to serve. Staff: The best part.They surely need a whole lot of training, however the overall attitude was really cooperative. One of the room's door lock was not functional, which the front office staff dealt with immediately. Though the resolution did not come as immediate, however they were helpful. Overall, they will assist as much within their limited scope as possible. Language sure comes as hurdle with the on ground staff, but is manageable. Overall: Away from the hustle bustle of the town, really peaceful and basic with basic amenities. This resort has really high potential if the management gets some professional consultants to redo the layout design and provide training to the staff. Surely needs to have a proper restaurant which caters to breakfast, lunch & dinner. Given the rack rate of INR 4500/night, one surely expects a lot more. I booked through Goibibo, so it came to INR 3000/night, still a bit high for the amenities. I will recommend this property for travelers with less expectations from the resort and for one's who visit Ooty to spend more time outside than in the resort. Hence the title "Bed & Breakfast type...". Last but not the least, wifi availability is really limited.... More

Policies
  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  2. The primary guest must be at least 18 years old to be able to check into this hotel.
  3. The hotel reserves the right of admission. Accommodation can be denied to guests posing as a couple if suitable proof of identification is not presented at check-in. Goomo will not be responsible for any check-in denied by the hotel due to the aforesaid reason.
  4. Child policy apply which may vary from hotel to hotel.
  5. Failure to check into the hotel, will attract no show charges as per Hotel policies.
  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes. However, it does not include additional personal expenses like telephone charges, meals that aren't a part of your meal plan, any hotel services you use (like laundry and room service) or tips.The hotel will charge you directly for these when you're checking out.
  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
