    Southern Crest - a convenient GOOD Hotel in T Nagar for Budget stays

    I have stayed in this hotel 4-5 times and What attracts me to this hotel is its location. T Nagar is a busy shopping area full of textile shops and I always prefer this location for my stay at Chennai. I have tried 4-5 hotels in this area before finding this hotel. This hotel is at a convenient location at T Nagar, away from the busy main road, but at a comfortable distance from the main street and also Pondy Bazaar, so you can take a stroll through any of these streets from this hotel. There are good veg restaurants in both these streets. This hotel is quite unassuming and looks like any other buildign near by. Reception is at the first floor. The twin bedded rooms are not road facing. Rooms are adequate in size and the bath is also decent. Hotel has a bar and restaurant and offer complementray breakfast. Food preparations, especially the North Indian varieties lack authentic taste like most restaurants in this area. Breakfast varieties, over the past 4 years remained the same. Service is good. This hotel seemed to be preferred by expatriates of Tamil Origin on shopping from Malaysia and Singapore, as during all my visits I have always seen them in this hotel. Hotel rooms are decently clean, rooms are definitely not modern but normal, still good for a comfortable stay in this location. I rate this hotel as GOOD... More

    we stayed 01 night in this hotel, our group size 30 members, very bad experience we had staying in this hotel. when you checking the hotel they will collect the room charge first, but when you checking out they will charge you extra amount with explaining different issues, and don,t ask them to book taxi, once you ask them to book taxi they will keep one half cost of the taxi charge....   3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience.   9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
