A bit too cramped...

The cove itself is lovely and a walk along the coast road to Ciutadella shows it at its best, but the beach is small and gets very, very busy. The waters are shallow for a while so good for younger ones but overall, don't come here for just a beach holiday or you'll probably be disappointed.

Beautiful beach perfect for sandcastle building! We went early and we're glad we did as it filled up really quickly!
The water is so clear and so lovely to swim in. It's rocky so wear some beach shoes.
Great for the kids but a little commercial for me

I am a keen snorkeler so wasn't that keen on this place as it is quite bland in the sea so if you're going for the snorkelling I'd avoid and go to Cala'n Brut or Forcat but the family liked the place a lot more than me hence the 3 star review.
It is a little smelly here with dry seaweed raked onto the beach that starts to smell quite bad in the sun. It's quite shallow for some way into the sea so great for little ones and the facilities are good. Toilets, beach showers, play area and a couple of beach bar cafes . All of this makes it quite lively, busy and loud so if that's what you want then this place will suit. If it isn't what you want then I'd avoid. I love Minorca for its old world, relatively unspoilt charm compared to other similar places. There isn't much of that to be had here. Its a little bit Benidorm for me.
Go early if you want a sunbed. We were charged 18 euro for 2 beds and a parasol.
One thing we did do that I loved was hire a pedalo with a slide on the top and went out of the cove and into the open sea to dive off and slide down the slide into the open sea. Took a little bit for the family to pluck up the courage as it is a little daunting for some to see the real deep blue sea and not be able to see the bottom at all but once we got going we all loved it. I used this opportunity to go closer to the rocks outside the cove and away from the crowds and did manage to get some great snorkelling in out there though sadly not for long as we only had the boat for an hour. This was the highlight of my day so I would recommend it and take your snorkel kit if you want to get any half decent snorkelling whilst at this beach. This cost 15 euros for an hour and was worth every cent of it.
My wife and I had a mojito each at the beach bar before we left and that was very nice though quite expensive. There is a small kids play area here which the kids liked.
All in all, not really my thing though if my wife and kids wrote this review I'm sure they'd rate it higher than me. I like the quieter, more picturesque areas and this wasn't one of those.

Beautiful little cove , safe beach, crystal clear waters to swim in. Plenty of sun.beds and umbrellas to.hire for the day but I would get there by 9.30 am if you want a sun bed. There are 2-restaurants/bars and 1 beach snack / bar -pirates cove beach bar . There is a play area boat for younger children and there are toilets and showers down.at the beach too. You can.hire a pedalo or paddle board. A good place to.snorkel too. The sea here is like a milk pond beautiful. It is also manned by lifeguards.
Small and smelly

We went the first week of May so maybe it gets raked peak season but It was dirty and smelly. Cute little bar there we were walking to ciutadella so didn't stop. No one there but sure in summer this little beach gets busy.
