    this is my third time staying at silver sands and writing this it not easy you can not get a better location but over last year has gone down hill, needs decorating and a good clean up. I approached management and they took on board every thing I said and think they are trying to change. people did have problems and reception not very helpful at all but when I approached perter the manager and Darren I think they listened and agreed the place needs a lot of work doing to get it back up to the standards it should be I love boys in bar AJ TOM John Nial Sunny cant do enough they are a blessing to the hotel I think people really go back as these boys are amazing if it wasn't for them I would have looked else where but they draw you back. I hope the management and owners realise the changes that have to be made and work towards this three weeks stay had pay for fridge I don't see they reward you with any loyalties in which we show by going back....     It’s our 3rd visit to silver sands and I must say it’s gone down hill . The rooms all need refurbishing. We was in bungalow 101 and the toilet was leaking the floor was wet through I reported it to house keeping they sent maintenance to repair pipe but it was still leaking after 4 days of reporting it we reported to the manager peter and told him if it wasn’t mended properly and we slipped and hurt ourselves we would be putting a claim in . We was offered another bungalow which we accepted. On a brighter note the bar staff was once again brilliant every single one of them made you feel special and nothing was to much trouble ... More

    This was our tenth visit to the Silver Sands, my husband had emailed to ask for a ground floor room, when we arrived we were given an upstairs room with an interconnecting door. When we complained and asked for a ground floor room, we were told we could move the next day, however they offered us room 201 which was right next to the staff office, which was a very busy place it was also next to drains, and all the massive rubbish bins at the back of the kitchen area with no door only entry via patio doors, so we declined. Little did we know the nightmare we would have to put up with our next door neighbours, 2 middle aged scouse women who made a nightly habit of coming home drunk at 4am then arguing, falling out, fighting for hours when we complained we were told to 'get a life, you f****** c****s' - it felt like they were in our room with the interconnecting door!!!! After a week of hell, we had to move rooms, the hotel management didn't address the problem just put some poor other holiday maker in our room to suffer the hell from these horrid inconsiderate scousers. We have always loved this hotel because of the staff, but I think the owners behaviour when we as a group of 4 complained about a meal was beyond words. respect has to be earned not just because he is the richest man in Candolim - he even charged us for 4 meals that we never had!!! Rooms were dirty, fridge noisy, aircon was like a plane taking off - I just can't believe Tui have not checked this hotel recently to see how dirty and rundown it has become. Most hotels love returning guests, but the total lack of customer service and rudeness is beyond my comprehension - never again!... More

    Iit is with very heavy heart that I write this review . This was our 8th visit to Silver sands and was ruined by the treatment We received from the owners of this establishment . We were practically begged to attend an event at Ceu Mar , a bar/ shack owned by this company . The level of service we received there was beyond appalling . When we complained it turned out the owners son was in charge whos basic reaction was that he couldn't care less and to be honest I wouldn't trust him to run a bath let alone any part of this complex . Because we complained he called his father who , in front of a full reception area told us to F*** OFF out of his hotel !! To say we were shocked by this abuse was an understatement . The lads who run the bar area were as shocked as we were and spent the rest of our time there apololgising for the treatment we received . We as I said at the beginning of this review have been to this same resort 7 times before and to be treated like this was reprehensible - never again... More

    Well this was our first visit to India and it was a bit of a culture shock at first ,but the people are so friendly and will help you as much as they can .to many names to say thank you to . I do think that the people who do all the wrong are Thompson orT U I as for what they charge us and pay the hotel ,if they paid a fair price for the rooms then they would all have a fridge in the room and hair dryer,as if you wanted a fridge it was only about£15.000., The hotel is in a great position as not far from beach ,and restaurants ,shops ,bars I would recommend to people who realise that it is a 3rd world country ,I would go back again but not with Thompson ,would book it our self ,... More

Situated at a distance of 5 km from Shree Shantadurga Temple, Silver Sand Holiday Village features free internet facility. This 2 storey hotel in Goa maintains 71 spacious rooms.   1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.

Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
