    Location and valley view from the spot is too good. But food items are good and tasty but charged more...just for a single plate of chicken items they r charging 200 ,300 like that.... Camp fire also they charged 1500... its high i feel... Complimentary breakfast was too good... Sambar and idly chutney were tasty... Its 5km from ooty town, and road is bad in condition.... Average resort... More

    Nice valley resort with beautiful scenery. The resort is managed by few young locals on profit sharing basis with the land owner. Resort is 3 km down the hill away from town, so if u need any medicine etc you need to have a conveyance of your own to be able to get that from the town market. Good place for a peaceful holiday close to nature. Don't go if you like places near to market as this one is far away from the same. Food is cooked on demand as they don't have running kitchen which is okay for such a holiday resort. However they have good options. We tried butter chicken, chicken chettinad, chicken Masala, Kadai paneer, Alu gobhi. Best was Butter Chicken and Chicken Chettinad. They serve buffet breakfast which has very limited options but the sambhar that they make is out of the world!! Tea and coffee is very pricey. As we had many tea addict family members we ended up having tea bags in our room to avoid that over inflated coffee and tea. Overall we enjoyed the peaceful holiday with kids and parents. We stayed there for 3 nights. They also arrange bonfire on payment basis and charge 1500 for that which I believe is very expensive.... More

    i'm writing this review based on our 3 night stay at this resort..kindly note that this review is based on our personal experience on our trip on those 3 nights. Pro: 1. Delicious Home Food 2. Very very quiet and silent place. 3. Very good valley view...best place to stay peaceful 4. Location...less crowded and very less traffic movements 5. Bonfire at outdoors 6. Support staffs they are really helpful for anything 7. Safe and Secure locale Cons: 1. Very Far from Ooty Town 2. Must have personal transport 3. No proper signage to reach this place 4. Still under renovation 5. No Fans or Heater inside room 6. Blankets and Towels not very clean 7. Frequent Electricity trips...they hv generators but not last longer...it's common in TN 8. Very poor mobile networks...limited 2g signal for my Airtel and Vodafone...only BSNL works well 9. Free Wifi doesn't work in ur room Tips for travelers: This is a best resort to stay with family...if you are looking for peaceful stay...order food with them...they will make it delicious home food....this is right place...caution of note...bring along your own towels and blanket...     I had booked two rooms couple of weeks back. Even after confirming the room availability multiple times over phone, We had to wait at the resort for over 30 mins before we could occupy a room. Initially we were given only a single room, which was not cleaned since the last guest vacated it. The other room offered was even worst. Finally we had to agree to wait for 30 mins for one room to be cleaned, and couple of hours before the other one was ready. Also there were no TVs in either rooms. Inquiring with the staffs, they said the TVs were under repair, so removed. Not sure how both failed together. They really lack in manpower, and food orders got delayed so much. There were a lot of panic among the staff to get a room allotted. But worth mentioning is the excellent panorama and the food. We were served south Indian style breakfast, which was really good. I you really wish to stay here, please make sure that you continuously follow up with the hotel to see that you get a room ready as soon as you reach there... More

Silent Valley is comfortably located 7 km from the Ooty Lake. The hotel features a multi-specialty restaurant and coffee shop. The hotel in Ooty has a serene lush-green garden is 4 km from the Government Botanical Garden and Rose Garden while the Stone House Area is 6 km away. The Coimbatore International Airport (88 km), Ooty Railway Station (7 km) and Adasholai Bus Stop (0.5 km) from the hotel in Ooty.


Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 12 PM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. Booking Policies

  6. The total price is inclusive of all applicable taxes.   7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
