Good - Awesome rooms, Boutique hotel, Peaceful & Serene. Decent family place. Pool and Jacuzzi. Friendly staff. Secured place on the same road as calangute police station
Need improvement - Tv does not have any regional channels. Far away from shops & beaches. Food variety and taste can be improved.

This is a quiet hotel, and very unlike the bustle of nearby Calangute and the beach front of north Goa. All the rooms (I think) look out over the pool, and the decor and furnishings are very much retro and "boutique". It's also mid price - in that it's not as expensive as the chains like Taj, Hyatt etc elsewhere in Goa.
My hesitation is that it didn't feel quite as relaxed and customer focused as the Shanti Home in Delhi, and the food wasn't the same standard. But we visited at a different time and in very different circumstances. As in Delhi, we were served attentively and the staff made great effort to put us at our ease. So deserves 4 not 3.
Home "not a hotel"

Our third stay at Shanti Atithi Homes property in Saligao, Goa.
Feels as if you are returning to your small "home" here in Goa.
Chef Abu (Mains) & Chef Ajay (Tandoor) were amazing in their creations : you just have to suggest the kind of food you wish to have. If you are the creative type, go "off-menu" and request for food made to order.
Since we are very particular about quality of fish and freshness, we took the trouble of visiting Betim wholesale fish market (8 kms away and a 15 minute ride) thrice, and purchased fish from there (after requesting permission from dear Amar - Manager). We have never had such a variety of fresh fish in a real long time. Around 8:00 a.m. is a good time to go.
I must say that the food in Shanti Morada is "clean, not oily and has a homely taste". We are saying this after visiting 3 other "rated" restaurants here in Goa.
Another highlight of our stay was the spotting of 2 large Hornbills (perhaps a pair), They were sitting atop the triangular roof above the reception area and then again, the same evening, flew overhead (extended wing-span was about 2 metres)
Bikash, Shashi, Saurabh and all the staff are exceptionally courteous and Laltu in particular has matured since our last visit to a very capable "all-rounder" : very quick in his responses, always smiling. The Manager Amar, continues to excel and motivate all the staff to exacting standards.
Keep up this level of personalized service and thanks for all the care !

Shanti Morada..Name says it all. It's SHANTI SHANTI & SHANTI here..me & my wife stayed here from the 15th Nov'17 to 19th Nov'17. Amar ( property manager) got in touch with us as soon as we landed into Goa. On our arrival at Shanti Morada we were given a WARM & ROYAL welcome by Amar & his team. Checkin was FAST & EASY as it cud be. Amar himself gave us a tour of the property & explained history behind it which was really nice. Every room here has a different theme. We ere in room 'KOKUM' (named after an Indian spice )And what a room i must say, from cleanliness to decor it was just OUTSTANDING. Our's was on the first floor, as requested. All rooms here r pool facing. A scooter was arranged by Amar fr our riding pleasure.
First nite we relaxed at d pool bar (drinks r not expensive & r fairly priced) which was awesome as we were d only couple nd played d music of our choice. The bartender was very polite nd sweet nd he kept d drinks flowing.
The property is very well maintained & is decorated with antiques frm all over d world.
Amongst others a another BIG PLUS is d 24hrs KITCHEN.
Amar called every evening to chk if we’re having dinner at d in house restaurant & if we had any special requests. The Chef personalised our meals nd catered to our specific taste everytime with a big smile. Food is good here.
Amar suggested places to visit & restaurants to eat at everyday which was awesome. I must say Amar nd his team has MASTERED d art of HOSPITALITY with a PERSONAL touch leaving no room for error. I say this as we've stayed in Goa at so many diff places but NO MATCH to Shanti Morada. All credit goes to Amar & his team as a place can be very beautiful & peaceful but it's NOTHING without WARMTH & LOVE. Here they have nailed it.
Shanti Morada is a MUST STAY place in north Goa (Saligaon). Everything is 15-20 mints scooter ride from here.
Once again we would like to thank each & everyone at Shanti Morada fr a memorable stay . Without any doubt we'll be staying here again.Keep up d GR8 wrk guys.

From the moment you arrive and are greeted by Amar, you realise you are in for a very special experience. The hotel is artistically designed within it's site round two pools. The beautiful interior decor is mostly interesting local arts and artefacts. The staff are most helpful with local information and taxis etc; always attentive without being intrusive.
Cashews nuts are apparently a major export crop in Goa, yet it is not easy to get them in anything other than Ikg bags. it would be good to taste this local speciality. So my only small suggestion is to provide cashew nuts for guests, perhaps with drinks.
