pleasant accomodation with good cleanliness of rooms and areas. cleaners are on the ball.situated at a junction which provides non stop entertainment of traffic. a side road goes directly to the beach
Breakfast is some permutation of eggs or cereal and is fine for the most part
big downsides was the internet which was off for the most part of the week I was there, this being blamed on external factors. however be aware that there are three Wifi access points and they are NOT secure - default admin passwords, poor and wrong configs. So be aware of that when using the service.
As mentioned in previous posts the swimming pool is something to be aware of.
I took ill and it was either food or swimming in the pool, I don't think it was the food. I suspect it was the pool water. Upon checking out the plant room a few days later it jsut appears to have a couple of pumps in it and no chemicals were evident. so it looks like the water is just recirculated. Of course there could be someone who comes round to do this, not seen however, just the guy taking off the leaves from the surface.
so if you are going to use the pool, I wouldn't advise putting your head underwater.
the pool is quite shaded but its nice an quiet.
Only downside apart from that is a couple of drunks in restaurant area, that the staff were not really sure of how to deal with. that could be a problem if you were staying and their behaviour was allowed to continue
Clean basic hotel
on Nov 28, 2017
This is a small basic hotel, 5 mins walk from the beach. The staff are very friendly, the rooms basic but clean. The pool area is quite small with very few sun beds which are booked (towel down) by 6am in the morning and there is no other out door area in which to relax other than the bar. The hotel had a majority British tourist occupation. It is located on the main road. Candolim is a small but very busy resort - beware of the pollution from all the traffic. Whilst I enjoyed the holiday I would not go back to Candolim as it is too touristy and noisy.
Great food - average accomodation
on Nov 8, 2017
This Hotel is in the perfect location to be in the centre of everything, shops bars beaches etc. However like everywhere in India it never sleeps and the road noise can be clearly heard on the rooms.
We were on the ground floor and found the padlock on the door amusing - reminded me of locking my shed up! The matress was slightly damp and very uncomfortable on the bed but because it was so hot outside it was forgiven. The hotel and restaurant staff were great and assisted at every opportunity. WiFi was dodgy and very hit and miss - but so is the electric in India.
Great food would definitely recommend the chicken haryali and go back for this alone.
If you want Home comforts don’t visit India. Otherwise it’s ok.
Nice to place near to the beach
on Aug 21, 2017
The rooms were clean and the staff was friendly. There are also enough restaurants around to try out. A taxi stand just front of the hotel to plan trip or even the hotel reception could arrange and suggest good options to travel around Goa. Overall, the visit was top class.
Mediocre hotel in Candolim
on May 27, 2017
It's more of a lodging facility around Candolim. Services are not great. It is on the main road with the open restaurant facing the road. Rooms are average and do have normal facilities. Beach is around 500 mtrs from the hotel but the road is not lit and not good for late nights if not in big group. Food was OK and didn't tried much as there are lot of places around where you can try different dishes. Better places available in the area.
