    Construction and service

    The main issue at the moment is that half the hotel is under construction, so there is generally noise happening throughout the day. I think the end works at 5pm. Personally, I would recommend staying elsewhere until the works are complete. It's too hard to know whether you will get peace and quiet otherwise. Or at least make sure you ask the hotel before your stay. I actually had this accommodation booked by a tour guide and only did a quick google check before agreeing. My mistake. The other part of my review relates more to service and cleanliness however, given the hotel is only 2.5 stars, the service I received was probably in line with that. Essentially, you have to ask for everything or you won't get it. I asked for clean sheets and clean towels. Apparently you also need to drop your key at the front desk for your room to be cleaned. I didn't know this (it wasn't advised at check in or written anywhere) but I also didn't ask as by that stage, I was pretty tired of asking for things! I did try using the phone in my room once to ask for something, but first I couldn't get a dial tone and when I eventually did Noone picked up. But I'm sure if I had asked in person when someone was available, they would have cleaned it.m I spoke with the owner at the end of my stay and raised the above issues, which he listened to. I tend to think even in 2.5 stars, that hotel staff can try and ask if there is anything you need rather than it being the responsibility of the guest but maybe that's idealistic. If the hotel happens to read this, one thing I did suggest that would really help solo travellers like me is just a one page welcome info sheet in the room with information about getting your room cleaned, hot water switches, transport, etc. A map would be great too. Pretty easy and simple thing. Perhaps they cater more for other types of visitors which is fine but each guest has value to a business. For the reader, I'm unsure what nightly rate I paid as I booked through an agent (as mentioned) however, when I did a search on Google the rate varied between $50-$100 AUD during the busy period which is quite high for 2.5 star. ...     The room smelled naphtalen, which is used as an insecticide and is carcinogenic. As you can read the title, we saw a rat in the restaurant. Building was under construction during our visit, but not an excuse to have a rat where they make the food. ... More

    We had booked rooms for 3 nights but cut short our stay to 1 night. We got rooms on the ground floor, construction happening right next to our rooms. The rooms are dusty the linen musty, Bathrooms pathetic. Breakfast was included in the package but to our surprise we were given 3 choices of set meal. The portions are under served. The staff is always in denial if issues are brought up. Would not recommend this hotel. ... More

    We wasnt meant to stay here but eneded up that we did, not a problem though we had a master suit which tbh is amazing the wifi wasnt great but they gave us an extension which half worked, the only problem was there was loads of bugs coming in the room I killed loads they was only small but all over the bed, apart from that the room was pleasant and we enjoyed the food, it is under construction as well but when it's done it will be the best hotel in the area by far! I would recommend this place to anyone coming here as well.... More

Overview

This palatial abode is set amidst the breathtaking views of the Lake Palace, the Old City, City Palace and the beautiful range Of Aravali Mountains. There are seven comfortable rooms with ethnic decor. The choicest of Indian Continental and Chinese fare can be savoured in the roof-top restaurant, which is maintained with a cool, Palm court ambiance.   1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance
  9. Any changes or booking modifications are subject to availability and charges may apply as per the hotel policies.
Booking Policies

  7. Hotels may charge a mandatory meal surcharge on festive periods e.g. Christmas, New Year's Eve etc. All additional charges (including mandatory meal surcharges) need to be cleared directly at the hotel.
  8. Some hotels may require guest(s) to furnish a valid photographic proof of identity in original at the time of Check-in. Kindly carry the same along with you to avoid any inconvenience. The following documents are recognized for this purpose: Aadhaar Card, Driving Licence, Passport or Election Card.
  9. Note PAN Cards will not be accepted as a valid ID card.
  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
