Lovely spot for a weekend away

We had a great weekend at the Three Horseshoes in Powerstock. The weather outside was snowy but the welcome from Martin was warm. The first thing that he did was to learn our names which was nice. The room was cosy and clean with a sofa in the room. The food cooked by Agatha was great. The Goulash was one of the best I have tasted. I had a lovely fresh piece of hake. We sat by the log burner in the pub which was cosy. The village is very pretty and a nice location to explore the Dorset Jurassic Coast. We will probably stay again later on the year.Fantastic one night stopover

We were delighted to find this dog friendly gem in the middle of the Dorset countryside. Martin the landlord was very welcoming, the food and beer was great. Very spacious room. Great walks from the front door through the Dorset fields and lanes.Fabulous Birthday Lunch

We were visiting the local area for the weekend and booked a table for 9 family members at Sunday lunchtime. Before the day of our visit Martin contacted me to confirm arrangements and check on food choices, all done in a lovely, friendly manner and making us look forward to our visit. We had a great table in the main bar (there was another larger party also in!), and were immediately made to feel welcome. The food was superb, especially the roasts. Everyone was pleased with their meals, the quality of the meat, amount of veg, gravy and most importantly for the kids, the Yorkshire puddings!! Extra veggies and gravy were offered too. A few of us managed to squeeze in a dessert, the bread and butter pudding was yummy. Drinks on the house for the birthday girls was a lovely touch too. Thanks to Martin, Agnes and the team for making it a fabulous meal. If we lived nearer, we would definitely visit more often.Definitely coming back again

Wonderful venue, the food was superb. So very pleased we visited the Three Horseshoes. Wonderful pub, beautiful food, very welcoming host. It is so gratifying to know that some venues are still able to produce excellent home-cooked food rather than conveyor belt food that has been zapped in a micro. Thank you.Christine

Superb Sunday lunch for 20 .. excellent and very generous portions of roast meats and vegetables.. couldn’t fault at all plus very friendly, good service. Well done to the team especially Agnes the chef.. we would definitively return

- Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
