Good Stay near Candolim beach...
on Jan 22, 2018
The property is located very close to the beach and has a lovely clean swimming pool. The staff is well behaved and co-operative and the food is good enough if you are not looking for the "authentic" cuisine of Goa.
The only negative was the constant presence of the Holiday timeshare folks ...
interesting place. Just changed its name to the Le Pearl.

we stayed for two weeks at the end of October beginning of November.
the place is certainly not luxurious but is friendly and well situated. we had to change rooms twice for simple reasons and the staff were very helpful and keen to help.
the resort is being done up ready for the re launch as Le Pearl but the work was non intrusive.
it is very close to the beach about 200 yrds and even closer the restaurants of the candolim beach road. Try out the coyote the food is great.
the area is very safe and being slightly off the main drag means the placido is quite at night.
the staff are a little flaky and you may miss the odd towel or the water etc but they are so keen to please and deserve to be given a chance.
the pool area is excellent.
there is no restaurant menu in the rooms and they make no effort to encourage you to eat in house so there is no guilt when you wander of to eat out.
the rooms are a little tired but clean and generally the a/c works.
the water is hot sometimes but to be honest a cool shower is usually better anyway.
would we stay again? probably yes.
It's a SCAM - Please AVOID

This place is terrible. Let me tell you a real story.
Me along with my wife were holidaying in Goa in July this year. A guy caught hold of us in front of Fort Aguada and told that they have opened a new property in Goa and would like to invite couples above 30 in their Candolim property just to show the property, offer refreshments and there would be a draw on which winners would be awarded.
Now idiot me. I should have outrightly said no to it but since we had time, said yes to the proposition with the anticipation of visiting probably a nice star property.
Fast forward one hour. We were seated in their Candolim office where the property is located. A lady name Deepshika came and started asking questions about of travel plans for the year and all and proposed to explain us a plan in similar line with Club Mahindra. I told her categorically that if I can listen to the plan but the final decision would completely be my discretion. She agreed to it.
Fast forward one more hour. Enter an ill spoken brat named VIJAY who does not understand even the basics of customer service! He wanted to invest INR 8 lakhs straight away, on that very day, at that very moment. And when I refused, he went almost violent and walked away from there leaving me, my wife and Deepshika.
I would like to bring this to everyone's notice that I have seen their property and it's terrible. Their staff sucks. The cafeteria was pathetic. You get thousands of better options in that area. Avoid this even if you get a free stay there.
My advice to management: Please train your brats (I met one named VIJAY). He is the worst human being I have ever interacted in all of Goa!

I was in big tension because all the gold and money was in bag we came back to resort and we ask for help they did lots of helpful things to get back our bag. And ultimately we got it back. We are really thanks you to resort staff. They are really helpful and with friendly attitude. Thank You To Resort De Placido.
