Lovely historical hotel

We had a beautiful stay here - and actually enjoyed that there were fewer guests as it is the off season. Our room was very comfortable, well decorated, and we even had a flight of stairs that led to a small look out area for the lake. The grounds are absolutely beautiful and the leisure services are classy (the pool was closed as it is the off season but the staff let us use the billiards room which was great fun). The grounds are immaculate, and the service is impeccable with staff that are extremely helpful, professional and not at all in your face. The food was divine and we were sorry that we could only eat here for two nights - there is so much deliciousness left to try! The breakfast is plentiful and of very good quality - it's one of the best breakfast buffets we have come across. All in all we have had a great stay here and we very much appreciated the warm, welcoming, and luxurious environment!
Magnificent escape, good base

Look for impeccable design in every detail of this fully restored complex, thanks to co-owner and fashion designer Bruno Cucinelli. If you are exploring northern Umbria--near Perugia---this is the place you want to come home to. Beautiful, extremely comfortable, with gracious and professional staff. Spa very good, with both indoor and outdoor jacuzzis. Pool was closed in October but it looked great. This is a restored small village (Borgo) on top of a hill. It occupies a large property, with paths through be woods for a stroll. There's also a tennis court. The cuisine in the restaurant is in the modern style (I.e., small portions) but while the food is good, it's not where you'd want to eat every night. I do recommend the cozy bar.

We booked a long weekend (four nights) here mid September through Voyage Prive and got a really good deal. We ate in the restaurant every night bar one when we walked down to a local pizzeria which was really a takeaway with tables. We did however know what we were expecting and whilst completely different to Borgo Dei Conti was lovely. Wonderful pizzas, good local wine and very very cheap. But back to Borgo Dei Conti. We really enjoyed our time there. The service from all staff was impeccable and they remembered our favourite drinks etc. It is tucked away with nothing nearby and set in beautiful grounds - very tranquil - and that was exactly what we were looking for. Definitely somewhere we would go back to. A beautiful place and definitely recommended.

The facility has large modern rooms and lovely grounds. And the views are fantastic! We enjoyed wine tasting and chocolate making demonstrations along with good meals for breakfast and dinner. The only negative was that the a/c was off for the season and the flies liked to come in with the windows open. Country living?
"At this Borgo they don't miss a beat!"

Stayed at this gorgeously situated and well preserved, secluded hotel for several days.
Atmosphere was welcoming , general setting precise but far from pretentious.
Staff, friendly and readily available. Rooms are well appointed and generously stocked ,room service efficient and house keeping immaculate.
The well managed restaurant has a tasty and creative menu with a wine list to match ( both local and national).
Mindful of the fact that their premises accommodate visiting groups as well as intimate families and couples, the restaurant offers a quiet , well aired " enclave" next to the main dinning room allowing all to enjoy according to their preferences.
Overall an excellent and highly recommended stay in a beautiful part of Italy.
We would like to give a special mention to Elena an Nicola for their guidance and warm welcome.
