The Final Leg of our Golden Triangle tour
on Dec 3, 2019
Great rooms with views over the local area (with occasional peacocks, a monkey and a number of weddings). The household staff were extremely accomodating and friendly, our rooms were modern and so comfortable. The Indian elements of breakfast were different each morning and so tasty - they certainly helped me wake up!

My stay at Rawla Rawatsar brought into question the purpose of 'star ratings'. What does a star rating indicate? That, by staying at a 5-star resort, a guest will more likely enjoy a 5-star experience? Or enjoy 5-star memories, as opposed to 2 or 3-star ones? I think it's time that we evolved beyond this archaic system and think holistically when booking a holiday.
My time at this delightful, colourful palace transcended any experience I've had in 5-star resorts. Not only is it perfectly-situated but it also boasts star-quality of a different kind; people.
Sanyogida is the hotel manager and proverbial mother of the establishment. She brings sunshine to the lives of her guests daily and goes above and beyond to make sure everyone is happy. She is accompanied by a staff of some 15 men and women who work happily and tirelessly to keep the hotel immaculately clean and in order. Some guests have even made their stay here slightly more permanent; if you're reading, Digi-Ji, thank you for the gin and tonics!
The rooms are beautifully designed with traditional, wooden Indian furniture. Every one features paintings or photographs that speak of Jaipur's rich heritage. For lounging, there is a marble balcony, a well-gardened lawn and a rooftop patio, where you can watch the sun settling behind the mountains. All of the walls and much of the furniture are hand painted in vibrant pinks, creams and greens.
The food is delicious and, over time, the hotel staff have learned to accommodate the Western stomach (which is not always as suited to Indian spices). You can reliably expect tasty, comfortable dishes from a straightforward menu.
Finally, there is the location. You are only 5 or 10-minutes from the Palace of Winds 'Hawa Mahal', which is also a hub for market vendors and multiple other tourist attractions. The hotel has even picked out the best tuk-tuk and taxi drivers to provide guests with safe, reliable, fair-price transportation around the city.
Excellent guest house in jaipur
on Mar 16, 2019
The Rawla offers many amenities as an economical place to stay in jaipur. Foremost are the hosts who provide very personal attention and help to guests staying in their beautiful home. The location of the guest house provides a quiet respite from the bustle of jaipur. Rooms in Rawla are spacious and bright. Meals are of excellent quality and diversity. Overall this guest house ranks as one of the best in our tour of Rajhastan.
The perfect hosts

We had a fantastic time in Jaipur, made all the better because Rawla Rawatsar was the perfect sanctuary. After a long day of exploring the old city it was wonderful to come back and have a drink and relax on their beautiful terrace, or in their lovely garden.
The family who own the place are extremely helpful. They gave us plenty of advice, and also helped us secure a driver for the remainder of our trip.
The staff were also very helpful and forthcoming.
The rooms we had were perfectly comfortable, with clean bathrooms.
Location-wise, it's close to the centre, while not being in the chaos.
Would definitely stay there again!
