Nice cozy place to stay
on Nov 13, 2019
Its an old/heritage property with modern comforts. It is very well located with many attractions in walkable distance. They have swimming pool, garden and a small outdoor dining area with rooms around. Being on one of the busy roads, traffic noise could be a problem, if you are looking for quite place. Otherwise, nice place to stay at.
Gorgeous boutique hotel

The hotel is exactly as described on the website & we felt at home from the minute we arrived. A lovely garden, clean comfortable rooms, wifi is ok, aircon worked, pool and gardens are lovely and the restaurant is cheap and convenient. There are small street food vendors and stores across the road. Definitely recommend staying here
Old world charm

The Rangniwas Palace Hotel is conveniently located near to the main bazaar as well as the city palace and the lake Pichola all of which are walking distance. The place exudes an old world though the rooms have all modern amenities. The swimming pool is certainly a plus point.
Felt Royalt y at Rangi was palace

Loved our stay at the Rangi was .
We stayed in a large suite ( a bit extra) which had a fridge , tea and coffee facilities, two balconys with beds on them.
Its set in beautiful grounds and has a nice pool which was a welcome relief from the heat.
We were quite awestruck when we arrived it was like stepping back in time or a movie set . Very impressed.
The rooms are a tad dated, but that adds to the charm .
Lying on the balcony day bed and watching the staff and guests was better than any movie .
The food was lovely especially the chicken curry and mango lassi. We ate in in the awning on the grounds and felt like royalty .
A big thank you to the management for helping us arrange a taxi to Pushkar when we all got flu and for putting up with us while we decided which rooms we wanted ..
There was plenty if eateries nr by and a short walk to city palace etc.
More of a resort than a palace
on Mar 26, 2019
I won’t say its a palace, gives you more of a resort feel with swimming pool and lush gardens.
They also provide swimming costume for free to take a dip in the pool.
Moreover, a very calm place to stay in an overcrowded city of udaipur.
Rangniwas was mostly occupied with foreigners, i guess the reason being welcoming attitude of host and staff.
No room service they only serve food in their open resturant ouside kitchen.
Nothing spectular about the food, felt like simple home cooked food.
Rooms aint that great needs a lot of repair work especially the bathrooms which are outdated.
Room Tip - Ask for the rooms on the upper floor.
Ground floor rooms are very dark and no sunlight.
