We booked this property after checking the details on their website. The pictures of the rooms on their site are misleading. The rooms are actually very small and the toilets are not connected to the rooms, they are separate. One needs to get out of the room to use the toilet dedicated for your room. The rooms are not well kept up neither is the restaurant. When we checked in and complained, we were upgraded to the highest category which is the suite. These rooms are better but on the second floor so one has to climb steep stairs to reach your room. The food is nothing great and service in appropriate. Apparently they have another property with the same name in Jaipur and hence the confusion on reviews and pictures.
Treated and felt like Royalty!

This gorgeous Mandawa Haveli was a treasure and our only regret was we stayed only one night! BEAUTIFUL paintings, exquisite furnishings and quiet and peaceful room! All of the hotel staff were gracious and helpful! The dinner and breakfast were very fresh and delicious. Rooftop terrace provided a scenic and interesting view! Hot shower and WiFi needs to communicate with family and friends were greatly appreciated! Highly recommend this Haveli but try to stay more than one night as we wish we had more time to soak up the ambience! Lisa and David USA

The hotel is beautiful, painted walls and decor of bygone era.
Staff were lovely, good location for old town. Rooms reasonable for India.
The porter had a huge big smile and set the tone for our stay !
Stepping back in time

When staying here you are staying in a piece of history, as though you have gone back in time. The rooms are to a certain extent the same as what they were a century ago with some modern comfort added. There were very few people staying and with it being winter they lit a fire in the courtyard and arranged seating around it. We sat and chatted with a couple from Belgium. We were shown the menu as we relaxed, asked what time we wanted our dinner and when it was ready escorted to the restaurant. We were very happy with our meal. We went on a guided tour to see some other havelis but it was a waste of money as they were unkept and not worth the entrance fee. The haveli we stayed in was the best kept one in town. The staff were fantastic except for one individual that checked us out. He thought that INR 500 of our change from our meal was better off in his pocket that ours. It was a pretty pathetic attempt at ripping us off
Festive NYE party with fireworks
on Jan 15, 2019
First night of our 2 week tour was New Years Eve. This was the hotel our tour had booked, where we had the option to buy a ticket to the party, buffet dinner and fireworks. We didn't have much choice as there was a loud speaker positioned right outside our bedroom, but we didn't mind. Food was yum, staff were delightful, considerate and generous (with Indian army rum), and the dancing and fireworks were a highlight. The traditional haveli building is beautiful and well maintained. Great stay. Special thanks to the owner and to the manager for their kind and generous hospitality. We loved it.
