    Stayed here for a week. Rooms perfectly clean, with nice bedding. Bathrooms now very tired and fittings are broken/rusty. We changed rooms, but still the same. Dining room too small for when hotel is full, so people have to queue to get into canteen. The food is fine, but it is a café environment, not a restaurant. The staff are helpful/friendly, once you get to know them. The management is not friendly, and almost hostile. I like to give the benefit of the doubt, but things did not improve. Shame, but I am unlikely to come here again.... More

    Was nervous about going to this hotel after reading previous reviews but am so glad we went. What a fabulous hotel in a brilliant location just a couple of minutes walk from beach, shops and bars. The hotel was spotlessly clean and all the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Our room had a huge double bed with lovely white sheets and duvet. We were there 12 days and the bedding was completely changed twice. The bathroom was a good size with a large walk-in shower that had so many controls it took me two days to work it out! A very good supply of complimentary toiletries including a shaving kit and toothbrush/paste as well as the usual shower gels, etc. Nice white towels that were changed every day. I really can't understand the poor reviews on the food as it was some of the best we've ever had in any hotel. The salads were always fresh and crisp, there was always either a rice or pasta dish as well as the meat and fish dishes. Possibly not a good selection for vegetarians but loads of choice for us meat eaters. On various occasions we had gammon joints, pork and beef roasting joints which you carved yourself. One evening there was a whole salmon which you served yourself. Most lunch and evening meals had chips so could possibly have done with a better variety of potatoes but I find this is the same in many hotels. As well as the self-service buffet the chef always 'show-cooked' a meat, fish and vegetable dish at every meal. We had swordfish, squid, razor-fish, lamb, pork, beef, spare-ribs, chicken - so much selection. Breakfast - the chef cooked bacon and fried eggs as required and there was always boiled eggs on the buffet. An excellent selection of pastries but not much choice of cereals, muesli, sugar-puffs and cocoa-hoops only. But certainly no need to go hungry at any meal. Only one negative point as far as we were concerned was that the hotel allow guests to bring dogs into the bedrooms. Very annoying when the owners go out leaving the dogs to bark and howl their displeasure.... More

    Great base to explore Tossa De Mar

    When we arrived at Tossa De Mar, we realised that the Rumba Festival was on. There was a beach concert on starting at 10pm which meant thumping music all through the beachfront. That made our initial choice of a beach front hotel not so attractive with the noise throughout the night. Fortunately Hotel TossaMar was able to accommodate our family needs with a room with a large double bed and another room in close proximity with 2 twin beds. They also offered parking on site. The hotel has 2 outdoor swimming pools, one smaller with a spa, and another larger one. It was a perfect way to cool down after a day of exploring around the area. The rooms were quiet, comfortable and air conditioned (absolutely necessary in summer). The owner / reception was so helpful and friendly and gave us good recommendations on the activities to do around the area. Wifi connection was great. Breakfast options could have been better. Overall, Hotel TossaMar gave us a great, comfortable base to explore the charming town of Tossa De Mar and nearby areas. ... More

    Stayed here for one week in June. This hotel has a 4 star rating but really struggles to make 2 star! The dining room is set out as a works canteen with tables in rows of 4's and 6's and none for just 2 people. The food was often cold and very unappetising and even though we paid for half board we ate out every night. The room was perfectly fine and was cleaned each day and towels renewed with the bedding changed mid week. The pool area was very irty and untidy and wasn't cleaned once while we were there. The water looked very murky so we gave the whole pool experience a miss. The lift walls and windows were also very dirty with fingermarks and looked as though it hadn't been cleaned in minths. The staff were generally helpful but spike very limited English. The manager was very rude and often kept us waiting at the reception desk for at least 10 to 15 minutes whilst he did other things. It's the first time we have ever had to pay for a safety deposit box (€25 for the week plus €20 deposit which was returned at end of holiday). The Costa Brava next door is a much better option....     Not brilliant.

    Decent location and room was decent enough....beds were comfortable. We only stayed B&B thank goodness. 2 small pools both of which looked as though they needed a good clean, didnt go in them for this reason .No more than 30 sunloungers for the whole hotel. Amazed how many guests were staying All inc.....no way would you want to stay at this hotel other than room only or B&b. More expensive than The Costa Brava Hotel across the road and far inferior. Jet 2....need to get their act together. Tossa de mar is a lovely little place but a visit to this hotel would definately put you off returning.... More
