    Great Hospitality and very warm staff!

    As a part of an international course, I lived in this hotel for two weeks. Believe me, I didn't feel like going back home. The place was wonderful, with very active & warm staff. Jeeva was a great Manager and a cheerful host, who helped with not only the staying needs but also showed me places to visit and shop in Chennai. Other reception staff Vijay Kumar, Deepan, Jyothi, Sanjay and Ranjit were very helpful too. Their restaurant was fantastic! The breakfast and dinners that I had regularly at this restaurant were served by Edward and Kalai, with very special attention. Marimuthu and Saravanan were very helpful too. My overall experience with the room service was really great and laundry was on time. There were several other tasks of printing, scanning, sending messages, etc that I kept having for the staff occasionally, and they promptly carried them out without any hinderance. It was a clean hotel, with good swimming pool, spa and beautifully fragrant towels. I highly recommend this hotel to all and I will myself visit it again! Thank you for everything. Best, Deepti...     I came to Chennai for a 2-week course that IHS Erasmus University Rotterdam have organized together with Madras Institute of Development Studies (MIDS). We have booked 24 single standard rooms for our participants and lecturers for 13 days. The services, room size and the hospitality and friendliness of the staff at the hotel are excellent which actually exceeds my expectations considering that they have offerred us a very low price. Rooms are cleaned everyday without even us asking, every single request from our participants is being attended to and the food from the restaurant is actually really good. So Kudos to the whole staff of the Hotel Raj Palace especially to Jeeva, Eric, Sumo, Dyoti, Sanjay, Ranjith and the general manager Mr. Sukumar! It has been a pleasure staying at your hotel. Just one suggestion for improvement, if you can look into the wifi connection in the rooms of the second floor, it would be great.... More

    Booked this through goibibo and stayed for 2 nights. I am a female solo traveler on an official visit to Chennai. The check in was not smooth as I had booked a suite but those were located in a different building behind the hotel. I did not feel safe so I changed the room to a deluxe room. The hotel is nice and on a busy street. They have a small restaurant with a limited breakfast buffet selection. The room itself was clean although a bit small.... More

    I can honestly say this has been one of the best hotel experiences of my life. We came during a very busy weekend towards the end of the season and were accommodated on site with a great promotion. Hersh (the manager) and Arjun were such a delight to deal with. They go above and beyond every request and always have a smile on their faces. The food at the hotel is amazing, which was a huge concern to us coming in because there is no where else to eat is Sawai Madhopur, so all the meals are eaten at the hotel. The breakfast buffet is amazing and the dinners are great as well. The amazing gardens and beautiful pool make for a relaxing day post safari. For value of money, take this hotel 100% - you wont be disappointed.... More

Raj palace is situated on Thanikachalam Road in T. Nagar, Chennai. The hotel has a rooftop restaurant, City View. The Marina beach is located 6 km from the premises. This hotel in Chennai has 35 rooms on 4 floors. These central air-conditioned rooms provide amenities such as mini fridge, mini-store for basic amenities, direct-dialing facility, safe deposit lockers, personal locker, and bathroom with hot/cold water facility.


Check in Check out

Hotel Check-in Time is 12 PM, Check-out Time is 12 PM.

  1. Guest must be over 18 years of age to check-in to this hotel.
  2. As per Government regulations, it is mandatory for all guests above 18 years of age to carry a valid photo identity card & address proof at the time of check-in. Please note that failure to abide by this can result with the hotel denying a check-in. Hotels normally do not provide any refund for such cancellations.
  3. The standard check-in and check-out times are 12 noon. Early check-in or late check-out is subject to hotel availability and may also be chargeable by the hotel. Any early check-in or late check-out request must be directed to and reconfirmed with the hotel directly.
  4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation. No refund will be applicable in case the hotel denies check-in under such circumstances. If you have any doubts on this, do call us for any assistance

  10. All refund requests must occur within 60 days of hotel check-out. Any refund for checking out early or for no shows will be given at the sole discretion of goomo.com.
  11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
  12. Goomo acts purely as an agent to hotels/suppliers, hence Goomo shall not be responsible for issuance of any invoices on hotel room charges.
