    I have never stayed in such a beautifull place than this........... We stayed in 301 the top room (only 3 rooms in total) with a big balcony. The room was big and with a nice bathroom. The colours in the room were inbredible. Everything worked perfectly : Hot Water, refrigerator and WiFi. The room and top roof eating area were very, very, very, very clean. The maneger Jassu took care of EVERYTHING himself. So friendly, kind and with a good sence of humor. He recommended the Next door restaurant Rainbow. We went there every day for five days. Perfect atmosphere, staff and food. It is not possible to eat lunch or dinner at Raj Niwas, because of the noise that the chairs would make to the 301 room underneath. We found the area as the best in Udaipur. Very local and cosy with nice people in the shops. Just a little warning: Be aware of a fraud person approching you in the street. He will ask you where you are from, and then tell you a big lie about him going to an exhibition in your country. He is a smart guy, so be aware. He has a shop with shawls just around the corner named : BOUTIQUE MANSURA TEXTILES I will definitely try to come back to Udaipur, Raj Niwas and Room 301!!... More

    It is a small hotel, only with three rooms, one on each floor. The views of Lake Pichola are spectacular, we were in the 301, the third floor which has a large balcony with great views. The room was big and clean. Jesse the guy who took care of us was very kind... More

    Great views and a huge room!

    I stayed in the room at the top of the building {The Queen?} for the last four days of my stay in India. I intentionally picked somewhere that I thought would be relaxing, and it was perfect. The room comes with its own balcony which overlooks the lake. The views are uninterrupted and incredible. My room was ENORMOUS, spotlessly clean and beautifully decorated. The manager recommended a restaurant {The Rainbow} literally opposite this hotel, and the food was to die for. I ended up going twice in a row. The location is fab for exploring the rest of Udaipur, being only 5 mins from the City Palace, and there's a boat launch literally directly opposite. There's a newsagent just up the road for bottled water and snacks. The manager gave me tips about what to visit, helped me to arrange a taxi transfer to the airport and helped me organise some laundry to be sent off. A couple of things to note: The room is beautiful and has windows all around its perimeter. This made for INCREDIBLE views. If you're a sensitive sleeper, though, bring an eye mask as the curtains do not block out the light. The WiFi connection could be improved. The signal was intermittent. This room is directly below the terrace where breakfast is served. I did have interrupted sleep one night due to furniture being scraped across the tile floor above my ceiling when the area was busy with other guests. I did report this to the manager and he did ask guests to be mindful of this. However, it is impossible for this noise to be eliminated altogether as merely the slightest movement of chairs caused the noise below. This, of course, isn't a problem if you're off out exploring Udaipur, but something to bear in mind during the mornings and evenings. There is not room service, as you would associate with other hotels, and the room is only cleaned at the start and end of your stay.... More

    SCAM Chain of Hotels Raj Niwas and Raj Kuber

    Last week we arrived at the Raj Niwas hotel with confirmation of our booking through Agoda. When we arrived, after carrying our bags over 100 meters from the taxi, we were told that Agoda made a mistake booking the reservation and they would instead send us to a sister hotel, outside of the center, with a much lower ranking. They said it was 5 minutes away but in reality it was 4 km away. We had to pay for the taxi to get there and waste a couple of hours of valuable vacation time on the ordeal. We were stuck in their sister hotel, Raj Kuber, well outside the center. This was the first disappointment. The second one was when we asked the front desk for the cost of a taxi to Pushkar and we were quoted 50 percent above what the normal price should be. Needless to say, I arranged a taxi from a different company. An hour before our taxi was to come, the person at the front desk told me to call the taxi and lie to them and say we decided to spend an extra night, and she'll beat our lower price by 500 rupees. I explained that I don't tell lies like this. But it shows well the character of the hotel chain if they tell their guests to lie to other service providers.   4. Failure to check-in to the hotel, will attract the full cost of stay or penalty as per the hotel cancellation policy.
  5. Hotels charge a compulsory Gala Dinner Supplement during Christmas, New Year's eve or other special events and festivals like Diwali or Dusshera. These additional charge are not included in the booking amount and will be collected directly at the hotel.
  6. There might be seasonal variation in hotel tariff rates during Peak days, for example URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the room tariff differences if any will have to be borne and paid by the customer directly at the hotel, if the booking stay period falls during such dates.
  7. All additional charges other than the room charges and inclusions as mentioned in the booking voucher are to be borne and paid separately during check-out. Please make sure that you are aware of all such charges that may comes as extras. Some of them can be WiFi costs, Mini Bar, Laundry Expenses, Telephone calls, Room Service, Snacks etc.
  8. Some hotels may have policies that do not allow unmarried / unrelated couples or certain foreign nationalities to check-in without the correct documentation.   11. In case of increase in tariff during the URS period in Ajmer or Lord Jagannath Rath Yatra in Puri, the customer is liable to pay the difference if the Check-in date falls during those periods.
