Do not expect much for the price paid. Good Hostel with minimum facilities but it is worth trying. It is a concept hostel with a small bar which was not so great. Front Desk Manager (Marushka) was very helpful and assisted us well.
Nice staff, and good theme

The staff at the hostel is is great. Facilities are okay. Cleanliness needs a lot of work. There were insects at a lot of places. Stayed in a private room, which had a prison feel but to add to the real feel of a prison we had companions like ants, spiders etc...

At first i had no idea that this hostel had an active concept. The concept is gail, and they really stick to it aswell. They pull alot of good ideas, together will alot of good artworks of all the (bored) people in this prison. And i must say.. in the end i really liked the idea since you are actually in paradise, in the middle of the green so the whole concept kind of exists just to mess with ur brain.. this is why i highly recommand this to all the youngsters traveling this way who wanna get a very good service+ experience for a very nice price nd way more....

PRISON Hostel is the way to go!

My friend and I originally booked 2 nights at Prison in a private A/C double room. We were so happy with the staff, cleanliness of the facility, delicious FREE breakfast, and general tone of the travelers staying there, that we booked for an additional 3 nights in Anjuna. The 3 additional nights were in a private 2 twin bed A/C room. Both rooms had reliable hot water showers, clean toilets, came with toilet paper, towels, and blankets. The people who we met enjoyed their bunk bed shared rooms, but everyone said it is worth "splurging" for an A/C room. The hostel is quiet at night, has a bus bar in the front entrance with comfy couches for people to hang out all night. Liquor store is a 2 min walk away, and the best restaurants line the same street. The receptionists speak fluent english and were very helpful with activities, suggestions, calling taxis, etc. Free basic bfast is included from 8-11am which was awesome. Security guard outside the building made us feel safe.
They have 4 sister-hostels that are equally if not better in Goa. We stayed in Summer and visited Old Quarter. We loved both! Prices cannot be beat for what you get at any of the hostels!
Would rec'd anyone, friends, single, or couples, to stay here again.
